(Y/N) struggles after Cheetor's death.

(Y/N) and Cheetor walk down the trail towards the lake. They planned a day at the lake. By now, Cheetor has a holoform and is looking forward to swimming in the lake with (Y/N).

The two find a spot to set up and eat lunch before going for a swim. They have a last-minute change of plans as the two lay on the grass. (Y/N)'s head resting on Cheetor's chest, cloud gazing. This doesn't last long before the two get bored and go for a swim.

The two enjoy a ten-minute swim before the current suddenly picks up. (Y/N) got out, but she watches Cheetor struggle to get to shore. Eventually, the current takes him, and (Y/N) watches him go under the water. She waits, hoping Cheetor deactivated his holoform, but minutes pass, and his bipedal form doesn't move. The current eases, and (Y/N) sees Cheetor's body floating in the water.

(Y/N) wakes up, screaming. Looking around the room, remembering she's been staying with the Autobots and Cheetor is dead.
Why couldn't his death onl be a dream? (Y/N) questions as tears roll down her face.

She didn't think anyone heard her scream until Optimus walked into the room. The leader has to sit on the floor by the bed but still towers over (Y/N). She tells Optimus about her nightmare.
"I've never seen a Decepticon, so....my dream was Cheetor drowned."
Optimus believes this is not the time to teach (Y/N) how the holoforms work. He activates his holoform to hug (Y/N), uncertain what to say. He worries this nightmare will be frequent for a while. Worried this is taking a toll on (Y/N)'s mental health, knowing Cheetor would not be pleased if Optimus failed to care for the girl he loved.

Optimus talks to the others, hoping they can figure out how to help (Y/N). They know they need to be careful with her mental state and that it'll take time for her to get over the death of the one she loves. Ratchet believes it is time to show (Y/N) the memorial the team made after the funeral.

(Y/N) sits by the memorial, tears rolling down her face. She isn't sure what to think as she sees Cheetor walking toward her or that the holoform in her dream would appear. (Y/N) isn't sure what to think, feeling Cheetor's holoform hug her as he sits next to her.
"I love you; I'm sorry things turned out this way. I'm always watching you."
Cheetor kisses her, fading away as the kiss ends.
(Y/N) isn't sure what to think about this, but she cries, believing she's alone, until she feels Optimus hug her. She keeps quiet about seeing Cheetor. Wondering if this will happen every time she visits the memorial? She feels a little better even though she's not sure what to think about seeing Cheetor's spirit. Hoping the heartbreak will go away one day,
