Bluestreak and Jazz love the other mech and are afraid to tell them. Being trapped in a cave makes Jazz demonstrate how much he loves Blue, which gets Blue to think it's ok to do the same.

Jazz has always loved Bluestreak, but he felt he couldn't tell Bluestreak As third in command and a war going on. Along with the duties as third in command, Jazz worries that Blue could be killed, and his grief would be harder if the two mechs got together rather than staying just friends.

Bluestreak wants to tell Jazz how he feels but is afraid to. The fact that Jazz is third in command doesn't help, but Bluestreak would be afraid even if Jazz wasn't at this rank. The only good thing about Jazz's rank was the two spent little time together off the battlefield, and there was less of a chance for Blue to embarrass himself. Until Optimus thought, he'd be best for a mission to check out Energon in a cave with Jazz. The leader doesn't know Blue's secret, so Blue can't argue this is on purpose.
He only hopes he doesn't have to talk to Jazz beyond acknowledging his orders.

As the two work on mining the Energon they find, the two mechs hear thunder.
"A storm is going on outside," Jazz observes.
The two continue to work.
Neither knows how hard the rain is coming down. Just thinking they'll get wet as they walk through the groundbridge.

As the two are ten feet from the entrance, they feel the ground shake before mud covers it. Jazz only comms 'mayday' before hearing static. Now with the cave entrance blocked, communication has been cut.
"We could be trapped here for days," Bluestreak panics.
"They know where we are. Shouldn't be long."
While Jazz is calm, Bluestreak thinks the two will offline in the cave. 

Twenty minutes of thinking about this being his last few hours alive results in Blue panicking enough to kiss Jazz, which throws the third in command off guard.
"I'm sorry, I..."
"You should be. Now you need to be punished."
Bluestreak didn't think Jazz meant kissing.
I shouldn't be enjoying this, but I am. Blue thinks as the kiss gets heated. Bluestreak didn't think Jazz would push him onto the floor.
"J-Jazz?"
"I said you need to be punished," Jazz smiles.
Jazz wouldn't dare do something like rape, but how does he know I love him? Unless... Bluestreak questions.
Blue can't believe Jazz is removing his interface panel. Sliding a digit in.
Jazz didn't think Blue would yelp. Heaving as Jazz has a little fun moving his digit around Blue's valve. Feeling his digit get wet with lubricant. 
Jazz smiles as he pulls out his digit and locks the lubricant off. He leans on Bluestreak, and his helm is close to Blue's.
"You don't know how long I have been waiting for this," Jazz tells me.
"Y-you—?" Bluestreak tries to ask but is interrupted by Jazz's kiss, "let me show you," Jazz whispers in Blue's audio receptor and moves off Blue.
Jazz removes his interface panel. Bluestreak thought Jazz's spike would need more time to be ready.
Being alone really turned him on. Bluestreak observes.
He feels the tip of Jazz's spike tracing around his valve.
"You're an aft," Blue comments.
"Fine!"
Blue winces in pain as Jazz goes in. Even as the mech moves slowly.

Jazz wasn't gentle for long. Bluestreak didn't think the mech would pound him.
"Frag!" He yells out.
"Enjoying your punishment?" Jazz kisses Blue, "or do I need to be rougher?"
He wraps his servos around Blue's neck and picks up speed. Smiling at Blue's moaning of pleasure. He continues until they both overload.

Once Jazz lets go, Bluestreak pushes Jazz onto the floor.
"My turn," he smiles.
He rubs Jazz's wet spike. Smiling at Jazz's moaning and that he's finally doing this. There's still the fear that Jazz will only say Blue can't speak of what happened in the cave, and that's it. He tries to ignore that possibility and enjoy that he's fragging the one he loves. Blue copies Jazz's actions, leaning in to kiss him.
"I love you," he whispers
"I love you too. Frag being third in command. I want you."
"I... don't want you to step down."
"We'll make it work."

The two decide to show love in their holoforms, enjoying themselves as much as they did in bipedal form.
The fun dies down, and the two cuddle once dressed. Two hours had passed. Bluestreak is calmer than when the mud blocked the cave entrance, but still worried about how long the two will be in the cave.

The two cuddle as the cave entrance clears and Optimus approaches. He sees the two and smiles.
"Finally," he says, "let's get you two back to the base."
The two deactivate their holoforms and follow Optimus into the groundbridge, holding servos.
