(Y/N) is angry about how Bee and Optimus continue to argue over who leads the mission, eventually having enough of the fighting and yelling at both of them to work together.

As Grimlock, using his crane disguise, rides down the hill, with (Y/N) enjoying the ride, Bee complains that it's taking too long to locate the fugitive's signal and suggests going off-road. Optimus argues it's not wise, as there may be unnecessary hazards. This has Bee argues he's the leader and knows this part of Earth. Optimus agrees, and everyone drives off-road.
(Y/N) heard the little argument before listening to Grimlock complain about how he's trying to keep up while running as the team drives on a path through the woods.
"The lieutenant and Optimus don't see eye to eye since your away team returned," Strongarm comments to Windblade.
"They'll figure it out. In the meantime, Windblade and I have become such a financial team within the team, and we practically don't need anyone else," Sideswipe comments.
"If you mean by team, you get in trouble, and I save your chassis, I wouldn't mind a few more teammates personally," Windblade replies to Sideswipe's comment.
(Y/N) enjoys hearing Windblade is looking to work with Strongarm, and Strongarm feels the same way. By talking about how they thought about combat moves. They laugh at Drift's response to Grimlock asking if Drift wants to be a team within the team with him.

The team reaches the meeting spot and transforms. They hear something in the bushes. (Y/N) stays behind Grimlock. No one thought they'd find Clampdown spooked or that the one after Clampdown is Ratchet with a mini-con partner, Undertone.
After Optimus explains how he's alive and Bumblebee introduces his team — minus Clampdown, who claims he's part of the team — the team goes back to the scrapyard.
After Grimlock fills in Ratchet on the team's time on Earth, Ratchet tells the team how Optimus isn't a hero on Cybertron and that he was banished for questioning the council and eventually made it to Earth. Optimus asks Ratchet to join the team, angering Bumblebee, who argues as the leader, it's his call to ask Ratchet if he wants to join. Ratchet agrees, and everyone is given a task.

(Y/N) is about to talk to Bee when Strongarm requests to talk to Bee, telling him everything (Y/N) wanted to, right down to how Bumblebee and Optimus need to talk. Both Stromgarm and (Y/N) dislike that it seems Bumblebee will wait until Deception island is taken down.

Interrogating Clampdown is a failure, but the team gets another chance to get information as a mini-con looking like Fixit shoes up. Toolbox tells them Deception is the missing half of the prison ship, and Toolbox gives enough information for the team to plan an attack.

The decision is made to make a status bomb. Ratchet, Optimus, and Windblade work on the bomb while the others plan how to get onto the island. Bee is annoyed Optimus is giving the orders. Strongarm insists Bee needs to talk to Optimus, but as she suspected, Bee is waiting until the mission concludes.
(Y/N) overhears Optimus tell Ratchet he thinks Bee can't handle this kind of mission yet, but rather than talk to Bee, he will take charge.

Optimus joins a meeting to plan where to detonate the bomb, not liking that Bee thinks the ventilation system is the best option, and Optimus argues that it's putting the team at risk.
"We'll all go to ensure whoever takes the bomb to the hub detonates it properly."
"And if it—?"
"We will deal with any obstacles or resistance when the time comes!"
"You cannot lead this mission, Bumblebee! From this point forward, I am in charge!" Optimus declares.
The rest of the Autobots and two mini-cons couldn't believe what Optimus said. They're startled by (Y/N)'s scream, and Ratchet hates seeing (Y/N) crying.
"Optimus, Bumblebee... I know you two haven't talked since you had been separated for a while, but stop fighting and questioning leadership. please."
Bumblebee and Optimus' sparks ache to see (Y/N) crying.
"They're right; we can lead the mission together," Optimus points out.
Bumblebee agrees, and the planning resumes. Though the two still struggle with whom is to give orders, the mission is a success.
