TF2 | Ratchet X Human Femme Reader Pt. 2: Difficult Delivery

A quick labor and uncertainty if Ratchet is busy with surgery is enough to stress (Y/N), Lennox and Ironhide. Now add a complicated delivery to stress out the medics and Ironhide.

"Crap, this baby is in a hurry," (Y/N) worries.
"Hey, are you ok?!" A soldier asks, worried.
"Go find Lennox. I don't know if Ratchet is still in surgery."
The soldier knows (Y/N) needs Ratchet, but unless Ratchet is out of surgery, he will not be able to get him.

The soldier rushes to the main hangar, Hoping Lennox and Ironhide returned from their mission.
"Sir!" The soldier calls out, seeing Lennox and Ironhide - using his holoform - in the hangar, "something is wrong with (Y/N)!"
"Scrap, even if she's in labor, this isn't good," Lennox worries.
"You're going to need my help," Ironhide says. Lennox is confused, "I told you I'm a field medic. Even if I'd help Jolt and Ratchet only if they have a lot of patients, I can help."

By now, the contractions are intense. (Y/N) can't move, and isn't sure if the baby is coming.
"Fuck, not now. Wait for your father," (Y/N) pants.
Lennox sees (Y/N) and knows she's in labor.
Another soldier is walking by.
"You, I need you to get Ratchet now!"
The soldier is confused until he sees (Y/N). He nods and rushes down the hall, hoping the medics aren't busy.
By now, (Y/N) feels pressure. Worried this is the head coming without her even pushing.
"(Y/N)," she hears Lennox as he and Ironhide rush towards her. The two take her hand.
"I'm not having this baby without Ratchet!" She screams as she feels another contraction.
Lennox worries her screaming indicates how close she is to needing to push. Ironhide wishes he knew what he was supposed to look for if he scanned (Y/N), to know if they could wait for Ratchet. Though he suspects Lennox knows how close (Y/N) is to needing to push.

Finally, the soldier and Ratchet rush into the cafeteria with a wheelchair. Ratchet can tell (Y/N) is well into labor.
"Come on, stand up," Ironhide tells (Y/N) as he and Lennox help her to the wheelchair, "I think you'll need my help," he tells Ratchet.
Ratchet agrees, but tells Ironhide he's to support (Y/N).

Jolt rushes to prepare for the delivery. He grabs the scissors used to cut clothes in case it's impossible to undress (Y/N).
As he figured, Ratchet tells him not to bother putting (Y/N) on the monitors. Even the fetal monitor.
"You're ready, and she's in a hurry," Ratchet tells (Y/N), feeling the head, "come on, push."
The three mechs worry about how (Y/N) appears exhausted already. Without being told to, Jolt puts the fetal monitor on (Y/N)'s stomach and puts her on the monitor, including monitoring her blood pressure.
(Y/N) isn't pushing hard.

"I can't do it," she tells Ironhide, scared.
The three mechs worry as (Y/N) is getting too tired to push.
"Come on, (Y/N), push," Ironhide encourages while gently shaking her.
"I think we need to do a c-section," Jolt whispers.
"The baby is too far into the birth canal. I'd have to push her up back into the uterus," Ratchet explains, "come on, (Y/N). She's almost here."

It's a hard ten minutes before Sapphire is born. The three mechs worry about seeing (Y/N) passing out. Jolt takes Sapphire to make sure she is healthy while Ratchet finishes the delivery. Ironhide monitors (Y/N), ready to put her on oxygen if she doesn't wake up quickly. He's relieved she isn't out for long.
Ironhide moves out of Ratchet's way. Ratchet sits next to (Y/N) and puts the baby on her chest. He gets a blanket to cover (Y/N) while she feeds the baby. Ratchet takes a picture of his two femmes before Jolt takes a picture of the family.
The news of a new baby at the base spreads fast. Most of the Autobots can't wait to see the baby. They love the name Ratchet and (Y/N) picked. Optimus is happy the Cybertronian race can continue even if little Sapphire is a hybrid.

Ratchet releases (Y/N) three days later, and he takes his femmes to their room. A few Autobots and soldiers are lucky to see the baby as they walk by the family.
Ratchet is happy to have a week off to spend with his femmes, already feeling like he needs to take more time off.
"I still can't believe we have a daughter," Ratchet smiles as the couple watches Sapphire sleep, "I love you, (Y/N)."
"I love you too," she replies and Ratchet kisses her.
