B | Chromia X Ironhide: Still Our Sparkling

After everyone scolds Ironhide for a failed mission, he doesn't tell anybot what happened to him on the next mission. Not even his sparkmate, Chromia, but she finds out and promises to help him. Starting with helping Ironhide deliver the sparkling she already fell in love with.
Warning; mention of rape, and abusive partner.

"Thanks to you, we can't figure out what the Decepticons are planning!" Prowl scolds.
He was the last Autobot to scold Ironhide before Ironhide walks away.

Hours pass, and no one is concerned that Ironhide has yet to be seen except for Chromia. She discovers what several Autobots did that resulted in no one seeing Ironhide. Chromia goes to find him before scolding everyone.
Chromia hears crying the second she opens the door. She turns on the lights seeing Ironhide lying on his berth, crying. She lies on the bed beside him and asks why he is crying.
"I'm a useless soldier," Ironhide sobs, "I screwed up a simple recon mission."
"No, you're not. Those are challenging to do." Chromia argues. She wants to scold everyone, but Ironhide wants her to stay. She comforts him as Ironhide continues to cry. Chromia hates how Ironhide cried himself to sleep, even if now she can scold everyone. She moves Ironhide's helm off her and leaves the room.

'What has you pissed?" Prowl asked
"Oh, I'll tell you what! YOU!" Chromia yells.
"Watch that tone," Prol argues.
"Excuse me?! Funny how you thought it was ok to stell at Ironhide over a failed recon mission! You know he struggles. He doesn't need scolding. He needs a friend."
Several other Autobots heard Chromia, saving her from having to repeat herself.

As Chromia worried, scolding Ironhide resulted in a nightmare, triggering his PTSD. Ironhide's crying wakes her up. It's a challenge to get Ironhide back to sleep. Chromia worries the Autobots scolding Ironhide caused an issue, hoping nightmares don't happen every night.

A few weeks pass without further nightmares. Ieonhide is assigned to go on another recon mission.
'Don't screw it up!" Prowl scolds.

Ironhide drives to the location, an abandoned factory, but find nothing.
"Ah, I was hoping you'd be the one sent," a familiar voice says. Before Ironhide can react, he is chained to a wall, unable to move his arms or legs, "I'm going to punish you for running away from me!"

Ironhide tells no one what happened during the recon mission. He lies and says he found nothing. Chromia thinks the sudden return of nightmares again is Ironhide's normal sudden return of nightmares.

When Ironhide onlines, feeling sick that he needs to throw up, he hates that he can't think he has a cold.

He sneaks into the medbay to scan himself. Hating he's sparked. Since he's with Chromia, he can't say he and his sparkmate fragged. Ironhide isn't sure what he's going to do.
Chromia watches Irnonhide run down the hall. She's worried and runs after him.

Ironhide finds a knife and cuts his armor. He is debating whether he should end his life, but he can't harm the sparkling, Even if their carrier is a mental mess and the sire is an abusive aft who hopefully will never return.

Chromia is horrified, hearing Ironhiide question whether he should end his life before she sees him cut himself several times. Chromia hates what has happened to her sparkmate but knows he can't kill the little sparkling. Nor would Ironhide want to tell Ratchet what happened, but neither could run away from everyone.
What if the little one looks too much like the aft of a sire? Chromia wonders.
She still needs to stop Ironhide from ending his life. She hated telling him he could get an abortion, but Ironhide told her he couldn't live knowing he killed a sparkling who didn't ask for messed up parents.
"I know the little one might resemble that aft, but they will have loving parents," Chromia tells him.
Ironhide still isn't sure but agreed. Now he had to tell Optimus and Ratchet.

The medic and leader couldn't believe what Ironhide went through. Hoping they can help him. The two mechs and Chromia worry about how much Ironhide will struggle even after the sparkling is born.

Ironhide no longer goes on missions but helps around the base. Everyone knows what happened and are disgusted though eager for a new Cybertronian to be born.

Ironhide is alone in the base, walking down the hall, when he feels pain. He knows he's in labor, but it's early. Ironhide thinks Ratchet should be back in time. He goes to his berthroom. He is a little worried Ratchet won't be back in time. Ironhide gets into a pattern of walking around the room for a few minutes and then resting. Even though this isn't her sparkling, Ironhide wishes chromia was with him, but he doesn't tell her what's happening even as contractions intensify.
"I should still have time, "Ironhide pants and feels pressure, "frag!" he cries, feeling his water break.

Chromia walks in, seeing the fluid on Ironhide's armor. Ironhide sits on the floor.
"Frag, Ratchet's not going to get here," he pants, unaware Chromia is in the room until she sits on her knees before him, "I need to push, frag!'
Chromia can't stop him, hoping he's ready as she checks his metra uteri. She was not expecting to feel the helm.
This sparkling is in a hurry. Chromia observes. Doesn't mean a quick delivery.
"We'll be meeting our sparkling soon," Chromia smiles.
"I can't believe you're saying that," Ironhide pants.
"I'm not saying we're through because of what happened to you," Chromia argues as she feels the armor over Ironhide's metra, "come on, push."
"You don't have to tell me, frag!'
Chromia still does, to avoid the sparkling coming too fast. Ironhide struggles not to push when Chromia tells him not to, even though he's dealing with a contraction.

Ironside thought he felt the worst of the pain but was mistaken.
'Frag it burns!"
"They're coming, " Chromia smiles, seeing the top of the helm.
Ironhidr screams as he pushes until the helm is out. Chromia takes his servo to feel the helm. Even with how he became sparked, Ironhide can't believe his sparking is almost here.
"Come one, almost there. Push," Chromia encourages.
One final agonizing push and the screaming is replaced by crying. Chromia places the sparkling on Ironhide's chassis. The two see that the little one resembles mostly Ironhide. There's little evidence of Ironhide's abusive boyfriend. He lets Chromia hold the sparkling. Both are already thinking of giving this little one a half-sibling.

The others return twenty minutes later. Ratchet checks on Ironhide and the sparkling. Both are fine. Chromia lies with her sparkmate, and they bond with their new sparkling.
