TF1 | Jazz Melody Pt. 2: Jealous & In Love

Jazz and Melody's friendship grows. Both fall in love with the other but are afraid to say anything. Ironhide insists jazz tells Melody while Jazz deals with feeling jealous seeing Melody with Bumblebee. 

Melody didn't have to explain how she now owns a silver Pontiac Solstice. Sure, it's odd for parents not to ask how their teenage daughter got an expensive car, but Melody isn't complaining as long as she doesn't have to explain how her car is an alien robot to them.  She's hoping not to explain why she's suddenly out of the house often, especially during summer vacation.

Jazz has been adjusting as well as any bot would be to living on a different planet, but he's been distracted by seeing Melody with Bumblebee. He couldn't understand why he felt so jealous, even when Melody was with Bee and Sam.  Nor could he understand the anger he felt when either mech would hug her. Even on Cybertron, friends hugging is normal.
"You ok, kid?" Ironhide asks.
"I...uh...."
Ironhide looked in the direction Jazz was looking, and Jazz's displeased expression.
"Ah, somebot likes a certain human and is jealous."
Jazz didn't know what to say. The way his spark feels now that Ironhide said 'jealous.'
How could he like another species? Would that even be allowed? 
Great, we just finished setting up our home here, and now I might get us in trouble.
Jazz was not looking forward to talking to Optimus and likely Lennox. Hoping those are the only two he has to talk to about loving Melody.

After one awkward conversation with Lennox and Optimus, Jazz searches for Melody.
"I should be able to create holographic humans for us," Jazz hears Ratchet, stopping in his tracks to eavesdrop.
He sees the medic talking to Ironhide.
"Why would we want this?"
"To blend in more and learn more about humans."
Ironhide grunts, displeased.
Good luck, Ratchet. I hope he's successful. I could use that. Jazz smiles as he resumes his search for Melody.

Once again, as Jazz sees Melody with Bee, he feels in his spark that Ironhide said is jealousy. He knew that being an aft to Bee wouldn't help his chances of getting together with Melody if Ratchet succeeds with his invention. 
Bee doesn't hang around for long before leaving. Melody is happy to see Jazz.
The two are happy to spend time together.
  Jazz wonders if he should hint that he likes Melody but is afraid to ruin their friendship.

The two friends want to tell the other how they feel but are uncertain if they should. Even though Jazz has spoken to Optimus and Lennox and was told furthering his relationship with Melody would be accepted.

Jazz also struggles seeing how close Melody is with Bumblebee as the days go by. No matter what the two do together, Jazz feels jealous.
"Will you just tell her already?" Ironhide asks.
"You think it's easy to tell a human?
Jazz doesn't give Ironhide a chance to answer before walking away.
It's going to be hard, even if Melody was an Autobot, but you will not like never knowing if she feels the same way or not. Ironhide thinks, watching Jazz walk down the hall.

Ratchet finishes his invention two months later. Jazz still can't tell Melody how he feels while she seems to be getting closer to Bumblebee, even if she's also spending
time with him.  Jazz hopes to surprise Melody once he's used to activating his holoform and how it functions like a human.

By the time Jazz is used to his holoform, it's summer break, and Melody is at the base every day and has even spent a few nights with jazz in his room. Though he used his bipedal form, waiting for the right time to show her his holoform.

"... I'll think about it, Bee," jazz hears Melody say before watching her hug Bumblebee.
Two months of watching this and feeling jealous has now turned to anger. Rather than find Bumblebee and fight him, jazz activates his holoforms and kisses Melody before she can say anything. She looks at him, surprised.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that, but... I-I...," Jazz freezes.
Melody smiles, "I like you too. I don't know if this will be ok."
Jazz smiles, telling her he talked to Lennox and Optimus weeks ago but has been afraid to tell her how she feels.
Ironhide watches, happy to see Jazz finally told Melody how he feels. Unaware of the kiss prior.  He walks away before getting caught.
"So, are we?" Jazz asks.
"I worry this isn't ok, but if you've been told this is ok, then I'll be happy to be yours," Melody smiles.
"You're mine; I love you."
