(Y/N) is very ill. Optimus comes to their house and takes care of them.

Optimus last saw his friend, (Y/N), three days ago. This would be fine, except that he hasn't been able to contact them, and their phone would go right to voicemail when he'd call their cell phone. He has gotten confidence that (Y/N) is at home, but this doesn't ease Optimus' worry. He decides to go to (Y/N)'s house.

!Y/N) doesn't answer the door. Optimus finds a spare key under the rug, relieved he doesn't have to pick the lock.
The house is quiet. Optimus doesn't like how clean the house is. The house looks like it has been days since anyone has been here. Optimus tries not to worry (Y/N) was kidnapped, and their phone is in the house. He goes upstairs, hoping (Y/N) is in their room.

Optimus sees (Y/N) sleeping in their bed. This wouldn't be strange if it wasn't one in the afternoon, and sleeping this late is unlike them.
Optimus is concerned about how warm (Y/N) feels. He sits at the desk, waiting for them to wake up.

(Y/N) questions if they're sick to the point they imagine Optimus sitting at their desk.
"You don't look good," Optimus observes.
(Y/N) lies back down, "I've felt like shit the past three days. I can't eat anything."
"For three days?!"
"No, just today. I've been stuck in bed, so crackers are all I've eaten until today."
Optimus is concerned about this. Add (Y/N) throws up after drinking water. He finds medicine in the bathroom cabinet and helps (Y/N) take the medication. Waiting ten minutes to ensure they won't throw up before lying on the bed beside them, stroking their forehead.
"Cold," (Y/N) whines.
Optimus isn't sure if lying under the blankets will help, but he gets under the blankets regardless. (Y/N) moves closer to his warm body. Resting their head on his chest. Optimus used his free hand to read an ebook on his phone. Trying not to call Ratchet.

(Y/N) sleeps until five. Optimus is worried about how little they've had to eat. They feel well enough to go downstairs and rest on the couch while Optimus cooks dinner. (Y/N) hopes they can sit up long enough to eat dinner with Optimus and not throw up.
Optimus keeps dinner simple, hoping to make soup following a recipe tomorrow rather than cooking canned soup.
"You think you can sit at the table?" Optimus asks.
"Yes."
Optimus helps them to the table.

Optimus didn't think (Y/N) would ask what had been happening at the base the past three days. Even though they didn't miss much. (Y/N) does want to spend time with Optimus, but Optimus wants them to rest.
He suggests a warm bath before the medicine wears off.

Optimus sits in the Oh in case (Y/N) needs help getting dressed and back to bed.
He waits for a half-hour. (Y/N) walks out of the bathroom, ready for bed.

(Y/N) lies close to Optimus as the two watch T.V. on their tablet, but they don't last long before falling asleep. Optimus puts the tablet on the nightstand and goes to the guest bedroom. Realizing he failed to ask if he could sleep with (Y/N). Worried if they'll be fine overnight.

(Y/N) wakes up in the middle of the night. The room spinning as they try to get out of bed while trying not to throw up on the blankets.
They don't know Optimus is awake until they feel hands lifting them off the bed.

Optimus hurries to the bathroom in time for (Y/N) to throw up in the toilet. He can tell the medicine has worn off, and (Y/N) feels like scrap again. He helps them take more medication before helping them to bed.

"I'm sorry," (Y/N) apologizes.
"No need to apologize. You can't avoid getting sick. I can stay here."
(Y/N) smiles and closes their eyes. Optimus stays for ten minutes before going back to the guest room. He doesn't mind taking care of (Y/N) but hopes they won't be sick for too long, even though he does love the time together.
