Whirl responds to a call about a giant snake, not thinking the snake would be Cybertronian, that the two would be friends or that their relationship would go further.

".... calm down, Mrs. Neederlander, a snake?" Chief Burns tries to comprehend the panicked elder.
"A LONG SNAKE!"
Chief Burns is confused about why the elder is terrified of a snake. 
He didn't think Heatwave would send a mini-con but knows Whirl can get out of any situation with her alt mode, and yet again, she needs time away from the other recruits.
"I'm waiting for her to decide to leave the academy," Heatwave sighs.
The two talk about what can be done.

Whirl immediately spots the snake from the sky and the sun shining off the metal skin. Oddly, the snake lets Whirl grab it and fly to the woods.
Whirl flies low and drops the snake before Transforming. Whirl believes the snake isn't longer than ten feet. Still a perfect size to hurt her. She sees a lot of shifting as the snake transforms, revealing they're only a few inches taller than Whirl. They introduce themselves as (Y/D) and try to be friendly. He can tell that something troubles Whirl, but since they're strangers, she likely won't say anything. (Y/D) is happy that Whirl will come back tomorrow.

Whirl reports to Heatwave, who's not sure about letting the predacon stay in the woods, and Whirl believes it should be fine. Also, she doesn't want the other recruits to befriend (Y/D).

Whirl leaves the academy early the next day to meet (Y/D) before the others kill her good mood. Grabbing some Energon cubes before leaving.
She finds him waiting in the cave she showed him yesterday. (Y/D) didn't think Whirl would bring Energon

"Even if we're strangers, I'm not letting you starve," she explains as she hands him a cube.
The two talk about their lives, but Whirl leaves out how she's bullied. More worried that (Y/D) will blame Heatwave if she ever takes him to the academy. Hoping to never have to tell (Y/D) about the bullying.

Whirl continues to visit (Y/D) every day and brings Energon cubes. After a few days, the two walk down a trail rather than sit in the cave. The two enjoy nature and each other. 

(Y/D) returns to the cave. Sitting on the cave floor, and removes his interface panel, revealing a ready spike.
"Damn it, I'm glad she doesn't know. I don't want to scare her, but she gets me in the mood. I doubt a month is long enough a wait to say anything."

(Y/D) didn't think Whirl would come to him upset one day. Hating how it's a challenge to get her to talk. He knows he can't judge if the bullying is being ignored without meeting the Autobots at the academy.
"At least I love you," (Y/D) smiles, aware of what he said, "let me make you mine,"
Whirl lets (Y/D) kiss her but didn't think she'd be pushed to the cave floor, "please let me frag you and make you mine."
Ok, he wants to go all the way. Whirl realizes.
While this isn't what she was thinking, she doesn't refuse and trusts that (Y/D) won't hurt her. 
(Y/D) still worries that Whirl won't like what he's doing as he removes her interface panel. Starting slowly. Putting a digit in her valve while kissing Whirl, who didn't expect (Y/D) would lick her valve. He smiles, hearing her moaning.
Whirl watches (Y/D) remove his interface panel, revealing his ready spike.
He hates hearing Whirl whimper in pain, even if the pain quickly passes. (Y/D) moves slowly. Both can't believe they're doing it.
Whirl begs (Y/D) to do their worst.
"If you say so," (Y/D) smiles and kisses Whirl before pounding her. Both ignore the possible consequences of either being sparked.

"Did we just...?" Whirl asks as the two cuddle
"Yes," (Y/D) smiles, "I know we just met a month ago, but I love you and have been wanting to...."
"You want to stay at the academy?"

Heatwave is not bothered that Whirl brought (Y/D) to the academy and welcomes him to stay. Heatwave talks to the other recruits after allowing (Y/D) to stay in Whirl's room.
"So... uh...," (Y/D) struggles to ask.
"Yes," Whirl smiles and kisses (Y/D), "I know we just met a month ago, but I love you."
"I was serious when I said I love you," (Y/D) smiles, "I want us to be more than friends."
Whirl admits she's worried about how the others will react. How the other recruits will mock them, and she's tired of the bullying. There was no rule set on dating. Probably because the rescue bots didn't think other transformers would introduce themselves to a recruit in the academy. (Y/D) agrees only to be friends outside their berthroom until Whirl is ready to show the others that they're together.
Chief Burnes and Heatwave are happy that Whirl has a friend. Hoping that she'd stay if Heatwave was right about her leaving the academy.
