RiD15 | Male OC X Sideswipe: Just a Nightmare

Peter fell in love with Sideswipe soon after he met the Autobots. Due to his magic allowing him to become a Cybertronian, Peter ends up targeted by Nightstrike the night he's considering telling Sideswipe how he feels. The nightmare results in Peter being uncertain and worrying Sideswipe.

Not a typical human, Peter had no problems accepting his friend, Russell, and his dad, Denny, have alien robots living in their scrapyard. Like with Denny and Russell, the Autobots couldn't believe a human had magic powers. Nor could they believe he could use his powers to give himself a Cybertronian form that could transform.

Fast forward six months. Everything is great, except for Peter's love life. He stares at Sideswipe, wishing he could tell the mech he loves him, but he's still a human, even with his magic and ability to be a Cybertronian. He even thought of a Cybertronian name.
"Hey, Speeddrifter," Sideswipe calls out.
"I told you that while I came up with a Cybertronian name, you can call me Peter."
"Even while using your powers to be in Cybertronian form?" Peter nods, "uh, well, we have to go. Fixit detected a Decepticon signal, but then it vanished."
Sideswipe watches Peter transform, still amazed at what the human can do. However, he's not a fan of Peter's chosen alt mode, a green Camaro with sky-blue stripes.
You should have picked a Lamborghini Diablo like me. Sideswipe thinks.
Even while wishing Peter would have copied him, Sideswipe loves watching Peter, whether he's using his magic to be a Cybertronian or not.
"Sideswipe?" Peter asks, "hey, I thought we had to meet Bee. You didn't tell me where, so I can't go without you."
Sideswipe transforms, and the two speed off.

The team splits up, going different ways in the cave along with Denny. Both Sideswipe and Peter worry about being unable to go with the other mech.
:: I don't like small spaces:: Grimlock complains.
:: You mean like the inside of Strongarm's helm? :: Sideswipe jokes.
:: Knock it off, Sideswipe. We need to — what the?!:: Peter argues.
:: Peter?! :: Sideswipe panics.
Sideswipe runs down the tunnel he's in until something stops him.
:: Sideswipe?!:: Bumblebee panics, hearing Sideswipe scream in his comlink.

"Everyone is disappearing," Fixit panics.
"Pull yourself together, Fixit!" Russell shakes the packed mini-con. The two watch a creature approach them, "Fixit, is that a Decepticon?"
"I don't know, I can't see him."
"Fixit, pull yourself together!"
Fixit gets a good look at the con and finds their records.
"...can cause nightmares, as he feeds on the victim's energon," he finishes.
"Ha, made it," they hear Denny as Nightstrike flies towards the cave, grabbing him.
"Dad!" Russell yells.

Nightstrike's web restrains Denny as he's told what the con's goal is. He worries about the Autobots and Peter, seeing Peter's magic created a Cybertronian body on point, including the weakness of being affected by Nightstrike's sonic stream.
Does Peter have Energon when he's a Cybertronian? Denny worries. Even if he doesn't, this con doesn't know. He's in danger. The Autobots are in danger.
Denny hears the Autobots as they have nightmares. Worried about how terrifying the nightmare could be.

Today is the day. Peter thinks as he gets ready for the day. I'm telling Sideswipe.
Peter decides to use his Cybertronian form.

Peter finds Sideswipe walking down one of the many aisles of junk, looking for something.
"Sideswipe," Peter smiles, "I have something to tell you. I-I love you."
Sideswipe looks disgusted.
"Why would I love you? You're a human. Even with magic powers, you're inferior to me!"
Sideswipe walls away. Peter ceases using his Cybertronian form, hating the special magic he was born with.

Peter's optics online. He realizes it was a nightmare and helps the others. After a quick battle, the con is captured.

"...you all were trapped in nightmares of your worst fears," Fixit explains, "he was going to drain your energon."
Should I be concerned about how my nightmare wasn't about losing my magic? Peter questions. Even if I love Sideswipe. Anyone would hate to find out the one they love doesn't feel the same way.
"You ok?" Sideswipe asks.
"I'm fine," Peter lies, "I'm going to bed."
"You don't think he was affected by Nightstrike?" Strongarm asks, "other than the nightmare."
Fixit quickly scans Peter as he heads to the trailer that serves as his room.
"Nothing unusual in his human form, and if Nightstrike did affect him, he'd be affected in his human form," Fixit explains.
"He's probably shaken up from his nightmare," Denny guesses, "some humans remember their nightmare."
Bumblebee declares it's time for everyone to go to bed. Sideswipe wishes he had shared a room with Peter. To watch for signs of Peter's health declining.
"He's fine," Fixit claims, "you know my scan would be able to detect any minor changes."

Sideswipe is up early in the morning and decides to use his holoform. Worried Peter shouldn't be using his magic even as Fixit again assures him that Peter is fine.

Peter walks out of his trailer, not expecting to see Sideswipe's holoform.
"Sideswipe?"
"Uh, yeah, you all right?"
"I'm fine, I—."
Peter can't believe Sideswipe is kissing him.
Did I get kidnapped by a con who tortures with good dreams? Peter thinks.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that. It's just... I've liked you since the day we met," Sideswipe explains, "I don't mean as in I like having a human friend with magic powers. I mean, as in hoping you'll be my boyfriend," Sideswipe didn't think Peter would tell him about the nightmare Nightstrike caused him to have, "that explains your behavior last night that worried me. I'm not lying; I love you."
Peter relaxes and kisses Sideswipe. Both enjoy their first kiss, which turns into a make-out session.
