TFP | Shockwave X Predacon Reader: The Last Predacon

A frozen yet alive Predacon named (Y/D) is discovered. Shockwave has a new research subject who becomes his friend.

A team of Vehicons are sent to a potential Energon mine in the artic. The ice results in quite a project for the mechs, adding to Megatron's impatience. The warlord is not caring about mining being difficult. 

Days pass before the Vehicons reach the Energon. Discovering a large block of ice in the center of the small supply of Energon.
"My lord, we have made a discovery," one of them informs Megatron.
"Energon, obviously! "
"No, we have found something else."

The warlord angrily walks out of the groundbridge, accompanied by Shockwave and Knockout.
"This better be good!" Megatron warns, ignoring the small supply of Energon.
They show the three mechs the large block of ice. While Knockout and Shockwave do question the large block of ice, it enraged Megatron that the Vehicons believe this is important. The two argue with Megatron that they should take the block back to the ship.
"Well, there has to be something in there. Even if—," Knockout reads his scanner, "—whatever is in there is alive??"
Knockout and Shockwave thought if there was any lifeform in the ice, it would be dead, but still something to study. Now if they can figure out what this is and keep it alive, they'll have further studying to do.

The two work on carefully thawing out whatever is frozen in the ice. Megatron isn't as impatient with this project. This takes three days.

"A Predacon?!" Knockout asks.
"Impossible, they've been extinct for centuries," Shockwave argues.
"Well, as my scan detected three days ago, this one is alive. I'm inducing stasis. Their systems need to adjust to the warmer temperature and the atmosphere."
"Fine, I can still study this Predacon."
Megatron is pleased to hear he might have a new recruit in his ranks, but there's still a chance that the Predacon will offline. Knockout and Shockwave want to be careful about ending stasis. Even then, the Predacon might not online for a while.

It takes a few days for Shockwave to figure out what the Predacon is. Discovering it resembles an Earth (animal). Which will definitely be a good alley in battle. 

The Predacon onlines, but Shockwave can tell they're weak. He has Knockout examine them.
"Where am I?" The Predacon asks.
"The Nemesis, Megatron's ship," Knockout answers, "do you know there's a war going on?"
"Still?"
Knockout nods, "Do you remember how you ended up on Earth? What happened before the ice covered you?"
"I've been frozen in ice?! I must have been knocked out. I don't remember whom I was fighting, though."
(Y/D) couldn't believe they'd been frozen in the ice for centuries and are now the last Predacon.

Though Megatron is eager to have a new recruit, Knockout and Shockwave strongly advise Megatron holds off on getting (Y/D) to join the war for a while as they need to learn about Earth and catch up in centuries of war.
"Very well, I'll allow them to not take part in battle for a few months," Megatron agrees.
"(Y/D), you are the last Predacon, and I've never studied Predacons—."
"What a strange question, but sure as long as you are not looking to offline me for dissection."
Shockwave starts by drawing Energon from (Y/D) and allowing them to look around the ship and deal with knowing that they're the last Predacon.

(Y/D) struggles knowing they're the last Predacon and knowing they've missed centuries, even though it's been centuries of war. 
This is going to take time to get used to. They sigh.
After touring the ship, and uncertain about what else to do; (Y/D) returns to Shockwave's lab. (Y/D) knows they'll have to get used to the shop, and the crew, but for now they choose to stay in Shockwave's lab. Shockwave isn't much for conversation, which (Y/D) doesn't mind for now. Hoping that eventually, they'll get used to their new life.
