I was expecting for it to make me feel like someone cut me up into pieces, but it didn't. But I will admit: I felt a little sting, as if someone poured acid into my healing wound.

"So this guy..."

"Louis." I finished Mason's sentence.

"Yes, Louis. How long have you known each other?"

"Just a year. But you know, time flies when you're having fun," I told him.

"That's good. At least you found someone. When I moved to LA, I met Pam and I knew right away that she was the one. It just instantly turned into something more. Two years after, here we are." He explained.

I wish I could say that I know how it feels, but I didn't. With Louis, I didn't have that moment when I realized that he was the one. It was gradual, slow, and now that I know that I couldn't handle being away from him, I just had to see him right away.

Mason insisted that he had to meet Louis. He doesn't know about the arrangement, neither does he know about me trying to get away from the feeling of actually not wanting to get out of it.

[FLASHBACK:

"Mason," I said as he moved closer to me. He gave me that man hug that brought back so many memories of him and me.

"I've been looking for you." He told me as sat at the chair that was occupied earlier by Ed.

"I haven't seen you in a while! You're looking good, as usual." I said. I was expecting the conversation to be awkward as fuck, but it turned out to be surprisingly comfortable.

"Well I have to, I'm getting married soon." He said while he fumbled into his briefcase.

"And I'd love for you to come." He pulled out an invitation and handed it to me.

"Ahh, the great Mason Rivers settling down. Who ever predicted this?" I said. He was a playboy back then, someone who doesn't simply settle with one girl.

"A boy's gotta change," he rejected the bartender's offer. "How 'bout you, what have you been up to? Besides this bar? Which is amazing, by the way."

"Well, I'm planning on having my own restaurant but my husband doesn't know that yet." I said and he raised his eyebrow. 19 year old Harry would have found that attractive, but 22 year old Harry felt the need to explain.

"I got married a month ago." I said.

"Oh wow, congratulations! I'm sorry I wasn't around to witness it."

"I didn't think you would want to come, either."

"Of course I'd love to! Anyway, we have to make up for it. I have to meet this man right away!" He said excitedly.

"Sure, when will you be leaving?"

"On Saturday." He answered. Great. I only have three days to prepare.

"We'll have dinner on Friday, then. Does that sound good?"

"Sure thing." He said as I drank from my glass.
