Harry Styles

"Are you sure you don't want me to stay?" I asked Louis as I walked him to the classroom.

"I can take care of myself, mom. Don't worry about me." He placed a kiss on my lips and smiled at me before walking inside the classroom.

I tiptoed myself out from the school, careful not to attract attention from the kids. I drove to my office to sign a couple of paperworks before returning home. My businesses are doing surprisingly well for starters and I've got my boys to thank for that.

I noticed a strangely familiar car that was parked just outside the house. It brought back a weird sense of nostalgia and there was no way I could ever forget that car.

The first time I saw sober, married-to-me Louis, he had this car with him. This was Liam's car, the one Louis had when they left for England.

I walked inside the house and found Liam there, munching on a plate of chocolate chip cookies with his feet on the table while he's watching TV.

"Hey mate," he said, taking another bite as he continued watching.

"Heyyy.... Um... I don't wanna be rude but...what are you doing here?" I asked. I didn't have anything against him being here, really. It's not like he's invading my privacy or stealing stuff, he was harmless. The chocolate-chip-cookie type of harmless.

"Oh I wanted to talk to Louis about certain things but he told me about how he can't help me." He said, way too quickly. I'll never adjust to how fast he speaks, especially when I'm the slowest talking person that I know.

"Okay so you're here because...?"

"Because I think you can help me." He smiled at me before turning the TV off.

I stared at him blankly before even reacting to it.

"Fuck, Harry don't just stare at me like that. I'm not gonna ask you to shag me, come on." He laughed and I did, too. I didn't think that was what he was going to ask me but I didn't want it to be awkward so I just went with it. I sat beside him and waited for him to talk.

"It's about Sophia." He started.

Okay, what about her?

"She's a great woman, you know that. She's kind, she's understanding, she's hot, she's smart, but like, something isn't right, you know? I mean, I'm happy with her, mate. I really am. There's just something missing, like, what's wrong?" He said, this time I actually understood what he was saying.

"Do you love her?" I blurted out because that's the only question I'd ever want to ask. I know he doesn't, he just has to know it.

"I do." He said, not even thinking about it one bit.

"I'll ask you again. This time, I want you to think about it. Do you love her?" I asked again.

"I don't know," he paused. "Like, I like being with her, you know? We like having a great time together, she's very patient with me, like, she's not clingy and stuff like that but I don't know if what I'm feeling is right, like, I don't want to end up hurting her." He said, his eyes turning sadder.

Let me tell you something about Liam. I've only gotten to talk to him a couple of times but if there's something I know, it's that his eyes speak the words his mouth fails to say. And right now, those eyes are just begging to be bright again. Love broke him so much that he's forgotten the difference of being in love and just liking someone.

"Can I tell you something about love?" He nodded.

"Love is always having two or more feelings at the same time. He wraps his arms around you and he makes you so happy that you think about how sad it would be to not have him hold you again. He kisses you and it excites every living cell in your body but it kills you everytime he pulls away from it, only to kiss you again and you start hating how kisses have to end. He looks at you with those eyes and you see how wonderful the world is and you feel shame for being weak in your knees and for always wanting more than just a simple eye contact. Not just one feeling, mate. Always." I told him.
