It starts now!

Louis Tomlinson

The air was heavy and silent as I waited for Anne to actually talk to me. I just stared at her for a good couple of seconds before she started speaking.

I may have only seen her a couple of times, but it doesn't take a genius to realize that she's actually sad and that something's really bothering her.

"I heard about your promotion," she told me. "Congratulations."

"Um... Thanks?" was all that I can muster, because what else was I supposed to say?

"I also heard about your trip to Italy? With Harry? Did you have fun?" She asked. It was awkward, I didn't even know how I was supposed to act around her.

"I think the ice has been sufficiently broken here, so please just...get to the part where I start being really pissed or something?" I said, and she didn't even mind my rudeness. She didn't look shocked-- it was like that was what she was expecting from me.

"Louis, the last time I spoke to you, I told you about the deal with Harry. And I also heard about what happened between you and Ben." Okay, this shit's getting more awkward but I couldn't get myself to stop this conversation so I just shrugged.

"But now I come to you as a mother. And you probably won't believe me, but just hear me out." She said, pulling out an envelope from her bag and handing it to me.

"What's this?" I asked. And I was nervous. My palm was sweating like hell and my heart started beating faster.

"It's Des. Harry's dad. After what happened between you and Ben, he found out about you and Harry. At first he was convinced that  you were just boyfriends fooling around but then he found out about you being married to Harry. I tried to stop him, really, but it was no use. He was one hundred percent sure of his decisions." She explained as I opened the envelope. It contained documents about the school.

"What does this have to do with anything?" I asked her, pulling the papers out.

"He wants this school to be demolished. To be turned into another five-star hotel. I've tried to lure him into buying other properties, but when he found out about you working here, he insisted that he wants it. He's also going to have the bar in the hotel to be closed up. I didn't tell him about the new bar that you and Harry just set up, I didn't want him to know about it. I know how he works, Louis. He's going to take and take until there's nothing left. And I know you truly love my son and this is probably the hardest decision you'll ever have to make, but this is Harry's last chance." There were tears in her eyes and it doesn't take long for me to realize that I was also crying with her.

Because I know that no matter how much Harry hated his father, he kept in touch with him just because of Anne. Because he loves his mom more than anything. That's why he chose to live in the same state-- that's why he just can't stay away from his parents when he had all the money to just live on the other side of the country. All because of his mom.

"Let me tell you a story," she said. And I know what she's doing because it's a classic teacher tactic. You tell your students a story to either get their attention or to get a point across.
