This chapter deals with premature birth. I've done as much research as I can about it so if I've gotten something wrong, please inform me right away. Thanks! Enjoy!

It's that feeling again. That feeling when I was at the hospital with Lottie, right outside the door where our parents were. And I hate it, I hate having that feeling.

We had to go back home because Lottie was rushed to the hospital. I couldn't stop worrying about them while we were in the plane. Lottie, the babies, my family. Harry was even more nervous as I was, constantly asking the pilots about how much time we have left until we land.

As soon as we've arrived, Ashton picked us up from the airport and we went straight to the hospital.

He explained everything to us. A few days after the baby shower, Lottie drove to Nate's house to ask for forgiveness. She wanted him back, even telling him that he could have her again after she's given birth to the twins, that they can forget that the cheating ever happened. Nate said he didn't want her anymore, not when she had other priorities. She drove back home drunk and crying to Fizzy when her water broke. It wasn't supposed to, not until six weeks. Our parents were at work and my youngest sisters were at a birthday party when it happened.

Fizzy called Liam right away as soon as it did. Liam drove the girls to the hospital, calling Niall while they were on the way. Niall panicked so he called Ashton who was with Gemma. When we arrived at the hospital exactly a day after, almost everyone was there but Ashton was the only one who was calm enough to answer all of our questions. My parents came and left before we even arrived because they had to take care of our sisters.

We stayed at the hospital for hours, waiting for anything. We were asked to wait inside a room where Lottie was going to be in, but we haven't seen her yet. I've been stealing glances at Harry and I could tell that he was trying to prevent the tears from falling. He was trying to be strong for me but I can see right through his mask. He's just as scared as I was.

After almost two hours of waiting, the doctor approached us.

"Lottie's still sleeping and the twins are okay," the doctor told us. "She went through more than seven hours of labor which is not normal for a premature birth. We asked her if she wanted a C-section since the babies' heartbeats were faster than usual and she said yes to it, she said yes to anything that could save her babies."

"The babies are in the incubator right now because it was a premature birth. Their vital signs are stable, all of their organs have completed their formation. You may see them, but they'll be weaker than most of the newborns for a few more weeks which is why you can't hold them yet. Are you the father?" He asked me.

"Yes, yes I am." I said. I'm a father. It's sinking in. I'm a father now. I looked at Harry and his eyes were filled with joy. I could tell that he's about to cry. We're fathers.

"I could tell, the babies have blue eyes like yours. They haven't fully opened them yet, but when they try and open them partially, you can see it. Congratulations." The doctor told us and Harry hugged me.

"They have blue eyes, Lottie." I whispered at Lottie, waiting for her to wake up. Harry was beside me, holding my hand while I talked to my sister.

"Remember when you said you wanted blue eyes because dad had them? You hated me because I also have them and you had to wear contacts so your eyes would be blue. Your babies have blue eyes, Love. I can't wait to see them with you and Harry." I told her again, hoping she could hear me.
