Song of the chapter:
- What I Wouldn't Do by A Fine Frenzy

Harry Styles

"Goodnight, I love you." Louis told the twins as we watched them fall asleep in their room.

We entered Louis's room and what I saw was unexpected. His walls were covered with band posters and photos of football players. There was a shelf for trophies and medals, both for academic and sports achievements.

It looked like a typical teenager room, but he's years away from that phase in his life. It's far from what he is now.

"You never changed your room." I blurted out my observation.

He sat on his bed while I opened his closet.

"Yeah, it reminds me of how I was." He looked around. "How I still am."

I took some clothes from his closet since we didn't bring any. He had tank tops, basketball shorts, hoodies, jogger pants.

He stood up and walked to where I was and helped me choose what I should wear. He handed me a pair of boxer shorts.

"You'll be fine with that." He smirked.

I headed to the shower to take a hot bath. When I turned the water on, I heard Louis knock on the door.

"May I join my husband in the tub, please?" He asked nicely.

I walked to the door and opened it for him. I sat back in the tub and filled it with water. Louis stood outside while he was slowly stripping down in front of me before settling between my legs with his back facing me.

I rubbed his back and massaged his muscles.

"How do you feel?" I asked him before kissing the back of his shoulders. He pressed his back against me so we were leaning back on the tub. I wrapped my arms around him as he was tracing circles on my knees.

"It feels so good to be home," he answered. It's exactly how I was feeling. Like I was home. They aren't even my real family but they took me in with open arms.

"You're going to be an uncle soon," I told him. I feel him sigh against my chest.

"I'm not ready for it," he replied, hugging my arms closer to his chest.

"I know you're going to be a great uncle," I told him. We sat there in silence, just holding each other.

Today I discovered why he was so good with kids. He grew up taking care of his sisters, being the man of the house. Maybe that's why he chose to be a preschool teacher. He wanted not to lose that part of himself.

"Hey baby?" I told him which made him look up at me. "Everything's going to be okay."

"You think so?" He asked.

"I know so."

--------------------------------------------

"Good morning, sunshine!" I said as I entered Louis's room. I woke up a bit early today and struggled out from his grip. He was still sleeping when I left the room.

I ended up cooking with the twins while everyone's still sleeping. The kitchen's a disaster, really. I wasn't a morning person and the girls turned out to be the opposite. They were running around while I was doing the cooking.

I was already a bad cook, so imagine the horror of trying to make things right with two little girls running around.

The food turned out to be surprisingly great. It was my first time cooking for a group. Usually I'd have Niall or Luke do these things for me. I figured I'd have to learn to get used to this.
