Louis Tomlinson
Almost an hour after Harry left, I decided to go back to work. Yes, I might be a little ill, but I miss my kids already.
"Fuck," I muttered as I struggled to get out of bed. My body was still so heavy and my temperature was still high, so I went through my things to find my medicine kit and looked for something I can take in before going to school.
I don't think Harry's going to mind me leaving for work. He's probably going to find out where I was anyway since I have nowhere else to go. It's not like I'm gonna steal from him or anything, anyway.
I dressed up in my usual outfit since I already have my clothes. I went through the lesson plans I have missed and quickly scanned whatever notes I have in one of my folders.
I looked for my keys and found them on the bedside table. I took them and went down to the garage to search for Liam's car. I don't remember parking it here, but Harry has his own security guard and helpers (although they live in the house next door which Harry bought so he can have his privacy). He probably asked one of them to move it down to the basement where all his other expensive cars were.
"Where are you going, Sir?" The guard said as I politely asked him to open the gates for me.
"To work," I answered.
"But Mr. Styles told us to keep an eye on you because you were sick."
"Well, I'm not sick anymore, thank you very much, now if you'll excuse me, I'll go and see my kids now." I said as I put my shades on and waited for the guard to open the gate for me. I wasn't expecting for him to follow my command, but he must have known about me getting married to his boss.
The school I was working in was bigger compared to most schools and for no apparent reason, it has higher enrollment rates and it has been performing well in most aspects. The students, especially the preschoolers, are smarter than most kids their age. I reckon it's because technology helps and children-based TV shows were more educational than entertaining.
"Mr. Tomlinson!" One of my students said, which caused all the other students to be rowdy. Suddenly, they were all in a hype, like a concert was going to happen soon.
"I missed you guys," I told them as they surrounded me with their genuine smiles. The thing about kids is that they don't even have to verbalized what they feel anymore because adults automatically get it, but when they do, it's very, very sweet.
"Mr. Tomlinson, how come you were gone for so long?" One student said.
"I'm sorry. I just had to attend to some things and then I got sick, so I had to rest."
"Why did you get sick?" One asked.
"I was walking under the rain without an umbrella. You guys shouldn't do that. You'll get colds."
"You mean we will get cold." Patrick said.
"Yes, you will get cold, and then get colds. Those are two different things." I explained, ruffling his hair.
I started a lesson with a story about how we should care about our pets.
"Then why do you think you should feed them and bathe them?" I asked.
"Because we love them." One answered.
"I have a question," one asked. "How come you love your pets and toys? How come you love them even if they don't tell you they love you?"
