Here's the update, as promised. :)

Harry Styles

Niall came three hours after with my clothes and some food. He informed me that the meeting went great and that everyone's waiting for Louis's recovery even though they don't really know what happened yet. Gemma also came to visit and told me about her talk with Louis. She also told me about her having Louis's wedding vows. Apparently he asked her to give it to me while we were broken up. Gemma wanted to give it to me but I decided not to read it-- at least not now.

I've decided to go for a walk around the hospital while the nurses were checking up on Lou, leaving Niall and Gemma with him. I went to the pediatrics section where the children were and overheard a conversation between a mother and the doctor.

"It's more dangerous to force it. You should let him recover his memory from where he left off. forcing him will cause stress, adding up to his PTSD." The doctor explained. The mother mumbled something before saying goodbye to the doctor.

The mother sat in silence outside the room. It might not be the right time but I might not get another opportunity.

"Hi. I did not mean to eavesdrop but I overheard your conversation with the doctor?" I approached her to shake his hand, which she took with a smile. "I'm Harry. My husband was in a car accident and he might have head trauma? I'm not sure what that means but he might've lost his memory like your son. I... uh, I know nothing about it but maybe you can tell me a couple of things?"

It was a long shot, I didn't think she would tell me anything, but she opened up right away, almost like she was desperate to tell someone.

"My son's lost his memory two months ago. He fell from doing tricks in his skateboard and now he doesn't remember anything. He only remembers things from his childhood. He doesn't even remember how to ride a skateboard anymore." She explained. I thought that what I was doing might be weird for her, but I realized that she really needed someone to talk to.

"So when we came home from the hospital," she continued, "I tried teaching him things he doesn't remember anymore. I even got him a therapist for it. But some things he just doesn't remember. His dad left us when he was twelve and now he's fourteen. He didn't even remember about his dad until he visited us again. When I informed his father about our situation, he came over to see how he's doing and it was weird because he has no idea why his dad wasn't living with us anymore. I explained it to him and he was so shocked, he couldn't accept it. He ended up hurting himself in his room. I guess I shouldn't have forced it. Then we wouldn't have to be here again." She said, tears forming in her eyes.

"I'm sorry," I told her, somehow not really knowing what to say. What was I supposed to say? "Things will get better."

"That's what they always say," she said, tears leaving her eyes. "I just don't want my son to go through all that heartbreak again."

"Mom?" His son called from inside the room.

"Do you want to meet him?" She asked.

"No, ma'am. I.. I have to get going. Thank you. And um, stay strong for your son." I told her.

"You too." she smiled before going inside his son's room.
