"I'm in deep shit." I told Niall as soon as I walked into the office. He was sitting in my chair, looking like a proper boss with his glasses and suit.

"Good morning to you too," he sat up and handed me the papers to be signed, "and no you're not in deep shit. I just got us investors for the bar in Atlas so it's safe. It won't be taken down."

"I meant with Louis." I browsed the contracts and looked for the key points.

"Yeah well that's partially your fault. Okay probably it's entirely your fault and you don't even know why he broke up with you so--"

"That's not helping," I signed the papers.

"Look Mate, I'm just sayin', you brought this upon yourself. Dug yourself a deeper hole for not telling him in the first place. I hate to be the one to tell you but--"

"Yeah, you're right, I get it, you told me so." I broke it for him because I know that's what he was going to say.

"No, what I'm trying to tell you is that you're the only one who can fix this. If he reacts badly, then you'd have to take whatever it is that happens. You had so many chances and you passed by them like you can't even see. When he broke up with Hannah. When he moved in with you. You even went on a roadtrip before that, yeah? You were under one roof for a long time and you still haven't told him!" He scolded me.

"I almost told him last night," I confessed.

"Almost?"

"We were in the basement and--"

"The basement!" He exclaimed like it held the key to every treasure chest that ever existed.

"I was supposed to tell him then, but he  was upset. Remember when I called you? Because I was looking for him? Turns out he went home and remembered the babies."

"Remembered? What do you mean by that? I thought he doesn't remember anything?" He closed his laptop.

"Maybe he remembered them but he didn't think it was my concern. It was a family thing, you know?"

"He could've told y'still." He shrugged.

"Well he didn't. And he only told me when he came home. And it was utterly painful to see, Ni. He felt like he was betrayed. I can tell you that much. I wouldn't wanna see him in that state again."

"You're gonna have to, mate. Hate to tell y'that. One day's enough but you've dragged it on for more than a month. That's crazy."

"I'm going to tell him today." I told him.

"This might be the last day of your life, man. Might as well write up your will," he scrambled through the drawer for a clean sheet of paper and placed it on top of the table. "White Chevy. That's all I want. Probably a million dollars, but I'd understand if you'd wanna leave all that to the rest of the lads."

"You know that's a done deal Ni but you're gonna have to wait sixty more years," I said, signing the paper like a celebrity. "But seriously. I'm gonna tell him today. No matter what."
