Busy. That's how I would describe our house from the time I woke up until now.

From the moment I opened my eyes from slumber, I felt the cold empty space beside me. That's where my husband's supposed to be. I'm not used to this, you see-- he rarely wakes up early. Normally I would have a hard time getting him out of bed, but now he seems so eager to face the day.

So eager, that he decided to call upon all of his minions at six in the morning just so they can plan for the New Year's Eve party.

He told me last night how this is the only party he ever cares about. He said that it's the only gathering he has with his real friends and with the patrons of the club-slash-bar. He said it's different from other NYE parties. When I asked him to explain it to me, he insisted that it would be better if I discovered it myself.

I stood up from the second floor, watching them from the top of the stairs while they gathered in the living room. They all looked so tired, like they all have just gotten out of bed. Some of them even looked drunk, but since no one else seemed to bother, I'd just leave them be.

"Good morning, Sunshine!" Harry stood up from the couch and ran up the stairs. He was one step below me, making it seem like we're of the same height.

"Good morning, Love." I kissed him. "Hold on, I'll make some breakfast."

I walked to the kitchen but Harry just won't let me go. His hands are around my waist and he's kissing my neck, probably forgetting about his friends who are watching us.

"And to your left, ladies and gentlemen, you'll see the love of my OTP, my one true pairing, Larry Stylinson." Niall told everyone which earned a laugh from his audience.

Larry Stylinson? Really? That's the biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard in my life, but that's also the only load of bullshit I'd ever want.

I started cooking when Harry finally let me go. He went back to the couch and snuck cheeky glances at me while the whole group was seriously planning the event.

I started singing to myself, since everyone couldn't hear me anyway. I was so into the song that I haven't realized that the boys have stopped talking. I looked up and saw that they were all staring at me, wide-eyed.

"Okay hold on, the food's gonna be finished soon, just wait a little longer." I told them.

"The song that you were singing a while ago. Can you sing it again?" Ed blurted out.

Wait, what? They heard me?

"What song?" I asked.

"The one you were singing earlier. We want to hear it." He said. I've never sang in front of an 'audience' before, I never really thought my voice was good enough to be heard by other people.

"Come on, darling. You can do it." Harry stood up and walked closer to me. I closed my eyes and started singing. This time, a bit more conscious of my surroundings. People, actual, real life people, creatures of the same species as I, are listening to me. Intelligent, thinking creatures. They're all listening to the sounds I'm producing, probably judging me with their critical minds.

Halfway through the song and I was still too scared to even open my eyes. One of them could've stopped me from singing, but apparently my voice was tolerable enough for them to let me finish at least half of it.
