Louis Tomlinson
"If you're going to take me to Disneyland, Liam, you know that shit doesn't work on me--"
"Shut your trap, Lou. I'm not taking you to Disneyland." Liam said, eyes still focused on the road.
"Where are you taking me, then?" I asked again.
"Quit asking. It's a surprise." He answered as he took a sharp turn.
After a few minutes of driving, he pulled over at an empty lot wherein a romantic dinner with fairy lights and scented candles were set up. He led me to the table at the end of the line of candles. I was hesitant at first, but my curiosity got me so I just walked to it and saw how the whole thing was arranged. Everything was perfect, even the sound of silence that enveloped the place.
"Li, I don't think we should do this. I'm not in good terms with Harry and you've just broken up with Zayn--"
"You don't even know what we're doing." Liam smirked.
"I know what this is and I'm not falling for it. You just miss Zayn, that's why you're doing this." I explained. I have a feeling that he's going to tell me he likes me when the truth is, he doesn't. I'm still trying to get over the fact that Harry cheated on me and I can't believe that he's actually taking advantage of it.
"For the last time Louis, shut up. I don't like you that way." He said as he walked away from me. I know I was supposed to be offended but I wasn't. I was more than relieved when he said that. "Wait here."
I stood there and waited for him. I should probably just walk away before he comes back and pulls out a ring from his pocket, but it felt like my feet were glued to the floor.
A few minutes later, Liam was still nowhere to be found. I looked around and noticed a familiar car that was going my direction. It pulled over next to Liam's car which was a few steps away from me. Harry.
The passenger side of the car was facing me. The windows rolled down and I saw her, the very same girl I saw with Harry back in our house. She leaned in to the driver's seat and I saw him kiss Harry on the cheek before coming out the door. That feeling hit me again. It wasn't even jealousy, it's the feeling of not being good enough for anyone. She's so pretty, almost like she came straight out from a magazine.
She came out from the car and she was holding a bouquet of roses in her hand. Just when I was about to walk away, she grabbed me by the arm and stopped me.
"Wait. This is for you." She said as she handed me the bouquet. At first I thought she was joking, but then she had that serious look on her face so I just took it from her.
"And that one, too." She pointed at the card.
I pulled it out from the envelope and read what was written inside.
One sentence saying "No, I wouldn't do that to you." was written on it.
I looked at the girl and she was smiling at me. There was something about her, I just couldn't point it out. Something so familiar, like I've seen her somewhere before.
"Looks like you finally met my favorite girl," Harry said as soon as he opened the door of his car. He was wearing a Rolling Stones shirt under a blazer and sometimes I just don't understand his fashion choices. He was smiling brightly like nothing's wrong with what he just said. He stood beside her and put his arm around her waist. She was smiling so sweetly, so innocently, oblivious to the truth that the guy she's been flirting with is married to me.
