Louis Tomlinson

We spent almost two hours just watching the people in the bar. He would tell me stories about them, how they ended up broken, or how they pretended to be fixed when they're drinking.

Sometimes they would come over to our table and say hi to Harry and he'd always introduce me as his husband. It doesn't feel weird anymore. Sometimes I find myself waiting for him to say it, like a conversation shouldn't end unless he lets people know that we're married. It has become part of my identity, at least for tonight.

I can say we've gotten comfortable with each other. You'll know when a bit of silence doesn't feel awkward anymore.

"You know, I haven't told you about this special guy yet," Harry said.

"What? Which one?" I looked around to see who he was talking about. Was he going to tell me about his boyfriend?

"His name's Louis Tomlinson." He said as looked at me in the eye. The music was loud, which was why he had to lean in a bit closer so I could hear him.

"Did I hear that right? You're talking about that bloke who couldn't even keep his girl?" I said.

Harry stood up, took my hand, and
pulled me until we were going outside through a tinted glass door. We were in the balcony, but we can still hear the muffled sound of the party music inside.

"Get in." He commanded me before turning to one of the bouncers. "Don't let anybody in until I leave."

He leaned on the baluster and I did, too. He was fumbling with the rings on his hands, one of them being our wedding band around his ring finger, and I couldn't help but notice the tattoos on his arms.

"Louis Tomlinson came here one day to forget, just like everyone else. With the help of alcohol, of course. Also tried fixing himself, although there really wasn't anything that was particularly...wrong about him aside from his stubbornness." He turned to me and I laughed.

"He ended up getting into bigger trouble by marrying a gay guy who was just as messed up as he was." He said. I thought he was still going to continue, but he stopped there.

"And then...?"

"That's it."

"What?"

"It's open ended. I don't know what happens next!" He said and we both laughed.

I looked at the view and realized how beautiful it was. There were lights on one side, mountains on the other.

And then I looked at Harry, how he looks at how beautiful it was. His eyes had a different glow in them, like he was watching a fireworks show.

"You do realize that you're staring, right?" He said as he looked at me. Good thing it was dark, at least this way, he couldn't see me blushing because of embarrassment.

"I'm sorry, it's just that I'm wondering how you haven't told me about the most important story yet." I told him. I didn't know how he was going to take it, but if he wanted me to get to know him, I had to know.

"What story?"

"The one about that lad named Harry Styles."
