Louis Tomlinson

My hand felt alive as soon as he grabbed my hand. Sure, it was cold, but as soon as his skin met mine, I felt the warmth that caused me to blush.

It was probably a good thing that he was looking straight ahead and not at me.

"Tomlinson?" Harry told the guard outside.

"You may come in." He said.

"How'd they know I was going to come?" I asked him.

"They didn't." He replied.

"But you just said 'Tomlinson'."

"I did because that's my last name now. Married, remember?" He raised my hand up so it was the same level as my face. I looked at the ring and realized what he was talking about.

"H!" Someone shouted from the second floor.

"Tay!" Harry shouted as the girl ran down from the stairs. She was wearing a short black dress that showed off her slender figure and long legs. She had short, blonde hair and she was also wearing red lipstick. It suited her pretty well.

She approached Harry and gave him a peck on the lips. They smiled at each other as the girl wiped the lipstick from his lips.

He let go of my hand.

Okay.

I figured she was his girlfriend. After all, it wasn't that impossible.

But she wasn't, right? He said he was going to a friend's exhibit.

"Ah, by the way, this is Louis. Lou, this is Taylor." I held my hand out and we shook hands.

A man approached us and offered us champagne. Harry took two glasses and handed one to Taylor.

"Excuse me, I'll just go and check out the exhibit. It was nice meeting you." I smiled at Taylor before tapping Harry at the back.

I left them and saw how they were talking. He was smiling brightly at her while her hand was on his arm.

Yup. Definitely his girlfriend. Not just a friend. She probably doesn't know about our whole marriage arrangement, since Harry didn't introduce me as his husband.

I fumbled with my wedding ring and slid my finger out from it. I put it in my pocket and went on to look at the artworks.

The gallery was packed. I haven't seen the artworks yet but the artist must really be good to get this much of an audience.

I looked at the paintings and all of them featured happy couples. Straight couples, gay couples, lesbian couples, old couples, even young couples. They were colorful, and the frames for whatever mood the painting has.

Was this why Harry warned me? Because I'll be seeing happy couples in this gallery and I would realize how miserable I really am?

I waited for a few minutes and looked back to the spot where Harry and Taylor were supposed to be, but they were no longer there.
