Okay first of all, I know I haven't updated for weeks but it was finals week so I had to focus.

But Happy Holidays! Here's a late present :)

I had to do major editing for a certain chapter because of what happened to Jay. (We love you, Johannah!) You'll understand when you read it. For now, here's a couple of updates!

Niall Horan

"What's in the basement?" Louis asked and my heart just started beating double time.

Stupid Ashton. I know I could've briefed him properly about Louis's situation but he didn't believe me earlier when I said he's going to be here. He just knows that Louis has forgotten, but he doesn't know how much he doesn't remember.

Maybe I should tell everyone. Organize a meeting about this. Yeh. I should go and do that.

"Rubbish. A mess, really. The boss here wanted to get the whole place cleaned up so I had to stash everything else in there." I nudged Ash while Louis wasn't looking. I looked over to Harry, assuring him that I was an expert in damage control.

"Right. Yeah. This place was a mess so I asked Niall to clean it up while we were gone. I mean, you can come down if you want to, it's just that things are confusing down there." Harry said, doing a bit of reverse psychology on Louis. He's always been good at mind games and with words, manipulating them so he doesn't necessarily lie nor tell the truth. He doesn't do it all the time; but when he does, he usually succeeds.

"Nah, I'm good. I mean, it's just a basement, right?" He asked, and Harry nodded. It's a relief Ashton's stopped talking this time, probably getting the hint.

"Yeh, you wouldn't wanna be in there, man." I told him, knowing that would make him let it go.

Good job, Niall.

"So are you guys staying or? I'm making dinner in about an hour?" Louis asked.

"As much as I miss your wonderful cooking, I'm gonna have to pass. I've already made plans for tonight." I told him.

"Ooh, with Nat?" Ashton asked, and I scowled at him. I might have to talk to him about the hint he just dropped about the basement earlier.

Louis wasn't looking, he was too busy eyeing the groceries that we've just placed in the fridge to even notice how much I was hating on Ash. He invited me again anyway.

"Alright. But next time--"

"Next time, you're gonna have to cook a five course meal for me. You used to do that a lot. You don't remember, but you lived to cook for me." He didn't. But knowing Louis, he'd think of it as a compliment and he'll never say no.

"I doubt that I did, but I'll try." He smiles.

Harry looks at him with such fondness in his face-- something I've not seen in a long time. For a moment there I realized how much better it is for Louis to just stay here. The sooner he remembers, the easier it will be for us to just go on with our lives.

"We'll leave you boyos now," I pulled Ashton and led him outside, not giving the couple the time to say goodbye because we'll see each other soon anyway.

"Alright, we need to talk." I told Ashton, who started running towards the car to escape me.
