In this "What if?" you and your boy never made up after your first fight/breakup. Life went on from there and 7 years have passed, so everything has changed, and yet, when you two casually meet again, it feels like time has come back to when your paths divided. What will happen?

After you and Deku broke up you asked to be transferred to class B and not just that, your mother also decided to move to a new apartment so you never saw Deku once after that day.

And now, 7 years later, you're both heroes, but he's number 1 hero, while you're just number 12.

You've just got a promotion and the first thing you did was buying a new apartment, a bigger one, in a safer place. You know a lot of heroes live near there, and it makes you feel safe, not to mention you could seek for a better agency to work for.

You're moving in your things on the third floor, but it's harder than you thought. You're carrying a huge pile of boxes up the stairs, but you can't see where you're going, and so you don't see where your door is.

«Hey, need a hand?»somebody asks.

«I could do. Thanks.»you answer.

The boy holds some of your boxes and goes inside, and soon you follow.

«You can place them on that table.»you say.

The boy does so and turns to look at you. When you see his face you let all your boxes fall. It's him, it's Deku! When he notices it's you he blushes.

«(y/n)...! It's...it's really you...! Hi! How's life?»he asks, scratching the back of her neck.

«Fine, I guess. But not as fine as yours! Number 1 hero! I always knew you could do it.»you answer.

«Thanks. It wasn't easy, but I'm happy I was able to make it.»he says. «Do you need a hand to unpack?»

«Oh, I bet you're busy, you don't have time for me.»you answer kneeling down to grab the things that fell.

«I'm never busy for you.»he says kneeling down next to you.

You smile.

Deku helps you unpack all your things and, when it gets dark, you offer him a drink on your balcony. The city lights shine in front of you as you sip your drinks, chatting like old friends do.

«So? I heard you are a thing with Uraraka. How are things going between you two?»you ask.

«No, no, that is a fake news! We've been nothing but friends all this time! I swear!»he exclaims.

«You don't need to justify yourself with me. I may be your ex, but you can have other girlfriends.»you say giggling.

«I know I can but...I did not...»he murmurs. «And you? Have you had many other boys?»

«Some, but nothing serious. I don't have time for a serious relationship.»you answer.

«Yeah, this is a hard job.»he confirms looking at you. «I think it's time to go back home. See you around (y/n). Maybe sometimes we can have dinner together? Just like in the old times?»
