"So let me get this straight," Kakashi started, as the master-apprentice pair sat in a deserted alleyway of all places to have a rare heart-to-heart, with one content ninken and several yipping puppies surrounding them.

"You thought I'd be mad at you, which you seem to think a lot, because you thought something that was slightly similar to what my rogue ex-student would've thought. And then you thought I'd abandon you just because you ran outside the training field."

Akari nodded, sulking.

"You think a lot," Kakashi concluded bluntly. "And I'm offended at the enormous amount of trust you seem to have in me," he deadpanned. "How come you're telling me this now?"

"Because I'm a nice apprentice and someone as adorable as Bisuke seems to trust you," she shrugged.

"The fact that you trusted a ninken you met just few minutes ago more than you trust me is not making me feel better about it," he deadpanned again.

"Hehe... You also saved me," she muttered embarrassed. "But you won't have to save me next time!" she fist pumped. "I'll train," she declared standing up.

Kakashi sighed, rubbing Bisuke behind his ears. He remembered comparing Akari to a pup during the first week of their meeting, and now he understood why he did so. She was exactly like Bisuke, in a sense. Idiotic, with too many emotion. The amount of emotions both of these could feel in a day, Kakashi was sure he wouldn't be able to feel in an entire lifetime.

"Nice enthusiasm," Kakashi commented. "Too bad it's night already."

Akari fell down on the ground dramatically with a groan. "I had just decided to train," she groaned from where she had face-planted herself.

"You had almost completed today's strength training," Kakashi shrugged.

"I want to learn more than strength training! That's just the basics!" Akari groaned.

Kakashi blinked. Well, this girl did show the desire to learn... though he still had no idea what drove her. Basics was all he had taught Sakura, and she was content with that. But again Sakura never had a desire to learn ninja arts until Sasuke left the village... Maybe he could send Akari to become a medic too? Asuma was sending Sara to try that out.

"Scarecrow sensei! Are you listening?"

"Hm?"

"When will you start teaching me the cool part? Now that we have established you aren't abandoning me."

Kakashi sighed. "Listen here brat, if I said I'm acknowledging you as my apprentice, I won't go back on it just because you are being a fool like usual. And I'm not going to go around asking you what's wrong, I don't do emotions. Because you are such a crybaby, just tell me directly what's going on. It saves time," he grumbled.

He glanced up to see his apprentice looking up at him with stars shining in her eyes. "You're so nice when you're being nice," she said happily.

"Shut up. I'm not nice and I'm not being nice," he cut her off shortly. "Stop making that expression."

Akari simply grinned up at him.

"Second, what do you want to learn, for the 'cool part'?"

He instantly regretted those words as soon as he heard the over-excited gasp the ten-year-old let out, making Bisuke almost fall down his lap.

She hastily reached inside her hoodie pocket and pulled out a piece of folded paper, before hastily unfolding him and waving it in front of his face.

"This is...?"
