Sometimes Akari really cursed her habit of not thinking too much before speaking.

This was one of those moments.

She shuddered when Itachi's Sharingan spun into life again, now digging their gaze into her amateur ones, warning her that he won't be forgiving if she slipped up now. She determinedly looked down.
She won't get caught in one of his major genjutsus again that way.

"Oh?" a single word, but spoken so coldly that Akari could feel the temperature around her drop by several degrees. She looked with wide eyes at the man wearing robes with red clouds all over them.

She shuddered again when his Killing Intent flared up. Behind him, she saw Sara fall down to her knees, unable to move. It was probably the first time she was experiencing a strong Killing Intent aimed at her. Akari glared at the ground fiercely avoiding his Sharingan eyes.

Akari had experienced Kakashi's Killing Intent aimed at her more than once. Whether when she had truly pissed him off on more than one occasions, or when she disobeyed his orders during training for the first month. Now he seemed less harsher than he was when they had met, but apparently them being on good terms does not apply on training.

However Kakashi's KI felt more like a cold hand sliding down her spine. Itachi's felt like several ice cubes being dumped in her stomach, until she started feeling suffocated, and immediately tried to calm her breathing.

She had done it when Kakashi's KI had seemed unbearable and it had worked to help her breath. She was glad that she knew of that now, even though she wondered if she should have told Kakashi how sometimes his Killing Intent made her feel suffocated. Maybe he'd reduce the amount he used at her during training...

Her inner self violently shook her head. Kakashi had just started being normal with her! She couldn't ruin it! He was being grateful enough to spare her his time for some training. It was probably her own fault that she felt the way she did whenever he unleashed his KI.

Her eyes widened when she heard the sound of kunais flying and glanced up to find an array of kunais loaded with paper bombs flying towards Itachi.

The rogue Uchiha immediately dodged and jumped up, landing right below a tree. Howeve, be froze as soon as he landed.

"That was easier than expected. Shadow Possession Jutsu, complete."

Akari looked in relief as Shikamaru's voice.

"I caught your shadow mid-jump when you were about to land right at the foot of this tree."

Itachi regarded him with his emotionless demeanor, before looking at where Shikamaru should've been lying unconscious. He saw Akio there instead.

"Smart," he said shortly. However before Akari could feel relieved she heard the crowing voices of several of crows. A sound that she had now learnt to dread. "But not fast enough."

She sprung into action, shooting a paralysis senbon towards him before he broke out of Shikamaru's jutsu.

The 'Itachi' in Shikamaru's trap dispersed into a flock of crows.

Both Akari and Shikamaru's eyes widened.

"Behind you-"

Akari immediately spun back as soon as she heard Shikamaru's half-warning.

Her eyes immediately caught two Sharingans with three spinning tomoes staring back at her.

"Dammit!" she hissed, looking everywhere as the world seemed to be dissolving all around her, with her now being back in the world were crows seemed to love to caw more than usual and everything about the background seemed red and black.
