Hotaru's POV

"Denki, I love you but is this really the time?" I hissed out at my golden haired best friend who had taken up residence on the leather sofa in my room as I paced back and forth hugging the satin robe around me tightly. His suit jacket was missing, the first few buttons of his collared shirt undone, and sleeves rolled to his elbows while his tongue was pinched between his teeth in concentration.

"Absolutely. Kacchan told me to make sure your anxiety didn't get the better of you, so what better way than a little union break?" He wiggled his eyebrows at me with a precarious wink.

"This is by far the stupidest fucking idea." I muttered out harshly, dragging my hand down my face in exasperation.

"Oi, oi, oi! None of that, Missy! This is your day! As we speak, Kacchan is screaming insults at the catering crew while Eij is forcing him to get dressed and Midoriya is on the apology committee. It's actually quite the spectacle." He hummed without a lick of stress present in his body.

"I'm still surprised Suki had you come up to distract me. He must be frazzled." I sighed in defeat, watching Denki pat the cushion beside him in invitation as he held up the finished blunt between his fingers.

"Well, I technically wasn't supposed to be alone. Todoroki was supposed to come with me, but he disappeared on the way up here." He mused as I plopped down on the couch, holding my head in my hands.

"What if this is a disaster, Denks? What if something happens again? He's going to get tired of me-" A light bump cut off my muttering thoughts as Denki's fist landed on the crown of my head before he began patting my head softly.

"Taru, Doll baby, listen to me. If anyone would have asked me, shit, ten, five, two years ago if I could ever see Bakugou getting hitched I would have probably blown a fuse laughing so hard." He chuckled, looping his arm around my shoulder to pull me close. "But ever since you've been around? Hell, he's got this twinkle in his eye I've never seen. He somehow is even stronger, even more driven. He's happy. Genuinely, undeniably happy, and that's all you, Taru." I hummed softly, a small smile creeping on my face as I let my fingers fidget with the hem of my robe.

"You really think so?" I mumbled as a plume of smoke wafted around me.

"I one hundred percent believe so. You've had that guy wrapped around your finger since the beginning of time from what I've been told. I don't think anything could change that." He held his hand in front of my face handing me the smoldering blunt. Scoffing as I rolled my eyes dramatically I took it from him as a light knock announces someone's arrival.

"I didn't think Melissa and Lydia would be back yet." Denki wondered out loud as he motioned for me to stay seated and popped up, walking to the door. I leaned back, letting my gaze wander to the balcony to watch the curtains flow in the gentle morning breeze. In six hours I would be standing in front of all our friends, Katsuki's family, schoolmates, and we would finally be saying our vows. In six hours, I was going to be a Bakugou. I let my eyes rest closed just as I see a slight shadow cast over the floor from the balcony, sitting up, I narrow my eyes, examining the view from behind the curtains, but nothing stands out. Paranoid. Of course I'm paranoid.

"The cavalry has arrived, Taru Baby!" Denki cheered, pulling my gaze from the french doors to where he stood at the other side of the bridal suite.

"I didn't bring a horse." Shoto said matter of factly as he adjusted his tie, looking at Denki with a raised brow. Denki facepalmed, groaning harshly as I giggled at the lighthearted exchange.

"Todo, babes, you're killing me."

"I don't believe so. If anything, I'm here to help."

"I need a fucking drink." Denki muttered, walking to the mini bar that had sat surprisingly untouched.
