36 - It Was Not Kidnap

 Zayn’s P.O.V.

I heard music coming from their room. It was not loud but it was audible enough. It was Drake and Rihanna’s Take Care. I hated it so much to know we had similar taste in music. That meant we had something else in common, as if we did not have enough things in common already.

I decided to ignore that, since I had a more important thing in mind now. Now, I would spend time with Baby Lux, I was not going to receive a no for an answer. Today we were only practicing our vocals, so there would be no problem with having Lux with us.

I sang along in my mind while getting myself ready to walk in and find them dancing or anything like that. Kaylie was very…energetic, and she always did crazy stuff like that. Though, Lux loved it, so I was okay with that. Whatever made Lux happy mad me happy.

I walked in and got surprised when I saw both of them sleeping. I shrugged it off, knowing this actually benefitted me incredibly. I tip toed to their bed, trying to make as least noise as I could.

Baby Lux looked so cute when she slept; I felt my heart warming up at the sight. And her sleeping next to Kaylie, both of them so placidly and deeply would actually be a pretty nice frame, but I was in a bit of a rush. And having a picture of Kaylie in my phone was not something I was fond of, no offense. Alright, maybe I’m trying ot be a bit offensive, not much, though.

I slowly but steadily grabbed Baby Lux into my arms and exited the room just as quietly as I had got in.

“It’s my turn now,” I muttered to Kaylie as if she could hear me as I walked down the hallway towards the lift. I got into it and soon enough I was in the room where the lads and I were practicing with our vocal coach.

As I walked in, they all smiled, happy to see Lux was joining us.

“Hey! Baby Lux is here!” Liam cheered while standing up from his seat and walking up to us.

“Yey!” Niall acclaimed while clapping giddily at Lux.

“The party is on bitch-…bitters,” Louis corrected himself, looking around hoping no one knew he was about to cuss in front of Baby Lux. But in reality, we all knew.

“Great! I have missed her so much!” Harry complained, leaving Louis’s incident behind.

“Sh! She is sleeping. And no parties, or cussing Lou!” I grunted quietly, reprimanding them for their barbaric behavior.

“You are the one making noise, idiot,” Liam snapped jokingly, rolling his eyes at me.

“Back off,” I rebutted, sticking my tongue at him.

“And where is Kaylie?” Niall asked out of the blue while looking around. I tensed up, flinching at the question. I was so caught, and they would make a huge fuzz about it.

Ugh, it had to be Niall. He had just screwed me up. I did not answer and my gaze met Liam’s. I knew he immediately found out about what I had done. “Oh shit,” he murmured.

“Watch out your mouth!” Harry reprimanded, smacking Liam in the chest.

“She is downstairs,” I lied, trying to fool the other lads. I knew Liam was not going to give me in. And I was not actually lying to anyone. She was indeed downstairs. Just that she was sleeping and did not know I had Baby Lux with me… But, nevertheless, she was downstairs.

“And she let you bring Baby Lux up here?” Niall questioned, eyeing me suspiciously.

“Yeah…” I trailed off. Okay, now I was lying.

“Okay,” Niall replied unsurely with a confused look on his face.

I sighed relieved, lying was so exhausting!  I subtly eyed everyone, just to make sure no one would ask questions anymore and relaxed when everyone went back to their business, just the way it should be.

“Hey Baby Lux,” Harry greeted her with. She finally fully woke up, stirring around until her heavy eyelids decided to open up.

She looked around confused. “Kay…?” she asked in a low whimper.

Liam, Niall and Louis turned around to see us, to see me. Even our vocal coach turned around and wasted no time in glaring at me. I cursed under my breath, knowing I was in lots of trouble.
