So hey people! I had an interesting first day at school. I got really surprised and happy when I got home as I saw a pretty amazing girl dedicated a chapter of her story to me. That made me feel so flattered. If you haven't read her story, what are you waiting for?

13 - What Happens When you Come In Late

I had fangirled these past days with Laura. She could not believe how lucky I was, working with One Direction and such. Going out with them to buy things and being pranked by them, it was indeed a dream come true.

But I must say that the working hours were not the best, at all. Poor Louise and the guys, I could only imagine how worse it must be for them. It was an exhausting schedule. I got home only to sleep, when Laura let me, of course. I was really tired lately, having to go running around all day long after Lux and making sure she got everything she needed at her reach. When I got to her, I played with her whatever she was in the mood for that day and prayed for her to sleep quickly. Most of the time she did, luckily for me. But  still had to keep an eye on her, though.

Today, I woke up half an hour late, because even though the alarm was set, I was so tired that I did not hear it. If it were not for my mom that came into my room and woke me up, only God knows at what time I would have woken up.

So, since I woke up so late, I had to rush so I was not late for work. I had no time to eat my breakfast at the table so I just grabbed a banana and ate it on my way. I walked in, smiling at Kennan. He rolled his eyes in response as to tell me to cut it off and pointed to his watch annoyed. I rolled my eyes back at him, as if I had not already noticed how late I was. Could he not see how messy I came in? it was obvious I had rushed in. I stuck out my tongue and ran away from his grasp when he threatened to electrocute me with his so called Taser. I rushed to the seventh floor and left my things in the bed. I quickly arranged everything and as I stepped into the hallway, I found Paul.

“Hey, Paul!” I greeted as I walked past him.

“Kaylie! Finally! Louise sent me to find you! Where were you?” he questioned, motioning me to walk behind him. I did so, hoping he would get me up there soon enough.

“Uh oh, I came in late. I overslept,” I explained, feeling embarrassed as we walked to the elevator. We got in and Paul clicked the button for the nineteenth floor. I was in too much of a nervous wreck as to do anything properly, or anything in any state for that matter of fact. I felt so irresponsible, but I was truly knackered, and I was trying my best to keep up. I just never thought this job would be so demanding.

“You overslept? Oh, girl! Take this seriously!” he reprimanded and I just felt ever worse with myself.

“I know. It is just that this job is extremely tiresome! The working hours suck!” I whined, not caring that I sounded like a spoiled child, I was tired.

“Tell me about it. And you do not have to take care of five grown up babies,” he countered.

I giggled, not being able to believe what he had just said. “Paul!” I shrieked.

“What!?” he questioned rhetorically while shrugging.

“Oh my god!” I said while laughing. He joined me and we had to hold on to the railing to control ourselves and not end up in the floor like I did the last time when I laughed like this with Louise.
