billie and claudia rushes to avery's house, the smaller girl is scared to death that anything happened to avery. she just wants her safe.
claudia rings the doorbell, billie is shaking. she hasn't been this afraid in a while, and especially not afraid that something was gonna happen to someone she loves.
a tall man opened the door, he had one big tattoo on his arm. his hair slicked back into a rat tail, and some skinny jeans on.
"is avery here?" claudia asks, billie couldn't speak. she was shaking and frozen. the man looks at claudia, then at billie.
"and you are?" claudia shakes her head with a smile, she seemed a lot more calmer than billie. but on the inside she was freaking out.
"we're her best friends, im claudia and that's billie" the man looks at the girls again, the sun shining on his face.
"she's in her room" the man steps aside, letting the girls walk in. claudia walks first, she's been here sometimes, but it has never been this dirty.
there is dust everywhere, things on the floor, dead plants, dirty dishes everywhere, dirty clothes all over the house.
they walk up to a door with a sign that says "go away" without knocking, claudia twists the door knob, slowly opening the door.
poor billie was still shaking, she just wanted avery safe. safe and healthy and in good condition.
the room was very clean, everything in place, and barely anything on the floor. well except for avery. she sat on the floor with her broken phone in her hand. the whole screen was shattered, and if you held it you got bits of glass on your fingers.
billie doesn't even think before she runs up to avery, her arms wrapping around her. the blue haired girl is shocked at first, but when she realizes who it is, she is quick to hug back.
"oh my fucking god avery" billie whispers, holding avery tight. tears left billie's eyes as avery held her, slowly stroking the smaller girls back.
"it's okay dove, i'm here" this only makes billie sob even more, her hands gripping on avery's hoodie. claudia watches the girls, it's like they're made for each other.
"are you okay?" billie whispers once she has calmed down, she stays in this position, holding avery close to her.
"could be better, but i am okay" avery looks up at claudia for the first time, seeing a small smile on her friend's lips.
claudia takes a seat beside them, her eyes drift to avery's destroyed phone. "you have a lot of explaining to do, and i want the whole story"
avery sighs, maybe she should tell her? maybe it would feel good just to tell someone. with another sigh, she leans back into the wall.
"if i tell you the whole story, you guys must promise not to tell anyone," claudia smiles, nodding her head. avery looks down at the girl in her lap. "you too princess"
"i promise" billie sniffs, her legs wrapping around avery's body. billie didn't know what to expect, but she was sure it wasn't a good story.
"as you know my parents are divorced, my mom cheated on my dad with my now step dad which i'm sure is the one who let you in.
at that point she knew he did drugs, and was an alcoholic. but she didn't care and cheated on my dad many times.
my parents got divorced as soon as my dad found out. my dad fell into a deep depression, only because his love for my mother was so deep and strong.
after some years, my step dad started to become abusive, and he often threw things and screamed and sometimes he would even beat us.
my mom didn't care, only because she loves him so much. she truly doesn't care whatever the fuck he does to everyone else.
and they're really just too fed up with themselves, and my stepdad often gives me threats about like raping me, or stuff like that.
and he gets mad over the simplest things. like yesterday, i got home late, he was so mad he smashed my phone, tried to throw a glass bottle at me, and now won't let me leave the house. i'm surprised he even let you guys in, and i'm glad that wasn't my only phone, i have some new ones just because i don't know what will happen. but i tried to turn this on so i could text you"
"bro, you should have said something sooner, you can't live in this house" claudia says as soon as avery finishes, billie hugs avery tighter.
