Taylor's pov
"Are you ready for girls' night?" Angelina skipped into the room.
"Huh?' I asked, shoving a handful of popcorn in my mouth.
She promised that my stay at her house would be relaxing. It was my fault for thinking she was serious.
"I invited the girls over. They'll be here in, like, ten minutes," She checked her wrist when she spoke, even though there was no watch to look at.
"Move," I waved for her to move away from the TV when she went to stand in front of me, "Regina is supposed to get hit by a bus, I want to see it,"
"You're watching Mean Girls huh?" She crossed her arms, turning to watch the TV as she spoke, but she did respectfully move out of the way so I could see the screen again.
"Yeah, Aryia said it was good," I glanced over at her.
"He's gonig to be the death of me, I swear," Angelina said with a smile "Where is he?"
"Uh," I thought back to what he told me before he left almost an hour ago, "You know what? He told me but I can't remember. Oh," I said to catch her attention once I remembered, "He said he was going to get gas for your car and stop in at the Krachouse,"
"Oh. Okay, thank you." She said as the door opened.
"We're here!" Kat sang, skipping into the room like Angelina. Tara and Devyn followed with less enthusiasm, but still looked excited nonetheless.
"Hi guys!" Ang squealed, giving the girls a hug one by one, "Thank you so much for coming!"
"Of course," Devyn smiled, speaking quietly, "We're gonna have fun tonight,"
I pushed myself off the couch, greeting each of the girls with a hug.
"So," Kat dragged out, "How's your vacation?"
"I'm staying at Angelina and Aryia's house," I reasoned, trying not to talk it up by sounding bored, "But it's fucking fantastic!"
Tara held up the bags she had in her hand, "We stopped at the store before we got here. I got nail polish, face masks," She looked in the bags as she spoke, "And hair dye,"
"Hair dye?" I asked, and Devyn gave a confirming nod, "Who's hair are we dying?"
"I think it'd be fun to do mine, if you want," Katrina offered, waving at her grown-out bleached hair, "I got colors to do mine and then Tara got extras just in case,"
"Whatever you guys want," Angelina clapped her hands together, "Just don't make a mess on my rug in the bedroom, that's all,"
I swear to god her rug is her inanimate child. It's a white rug that's incredibly fluffy, and though it's not that big, it practically covers her bedroom floor. It is beautiful, but she's only had it for about a month so I understand her protectiveness over it.
"What do you guys want to start with? I'm thinking face masks," Devyn held out at least ten different masks, all different types.
"Sure, let's do that!" I grabbed one, not bothering to read what kind it was. I had no preference for face masks, I was only doing one because everyone else was and I wanted to have a good time.
I cut open the face mask, using my fingers to scoop out the mask and put it on my face. "Shit," I said once I began putting the mask up by my forehead. "I didn't put my hair up,"
"Hold on one second. I didn't start yet," Devyn quickly walked over to me and put my hair in a low ponytail.
"Thanks, Dev," I said, looking back down into the mirror so I could continue to put on the mask.
"Sure thing," She said before beginning hers.
The girls were talking about who knows what throughout the time we spent putting masks on our face, but I zoned out rather quickly.
I found it so weird how all of us were friends because of Colby in a way. How everyone except for Kat and Ang didn't know I was pregnant, and how only Ang knew Colby was cheating.
It made me sick to my stomach to think that a man who, according to the public eye, was supposed to be influencing kids to do the right thing while entertaining them. But behind closed doors he was a cheating, lying, son of a bitch man whore who didn't realize how quickly I caught on to his games.
And how he's playing one right now, being that I'm still with him. If Colby was going to be playing games with me, then it's my turn. My turn to show him how he makes me feel: stupid.
"Taylor?" Tara asked, snapping me back into the conversation.
"What? Sorry, I was thinking," I said, going back to patting the mask on my face
"We were asking you about tomorrow," When I gave her a blank look, she smiled and reminded me, "Your anniversary?"
"Oh!" I said with a smile, then let my posture fall, "Yeah,"
"You don't have to do it, you know. You could just tell him how it is. That's what I did with Corey," Devyn sighed, scratching the dried mask off her hands.
"What do you mean?" I looked at her with my eyebrows raised. All three of the trap girls were looking at me with knowing, yet hesitant, looks. I stared at Angelina, "How did they find out?'
"Jake overheard you and Sam talking the other day and assumed, and asked me my thoughts on it," Tara explained.
"And I asked Devyn for advice without saying your names, and she figured it out," Katrina said with a sigh, "We're sorry,"
"Who else knows?" I seethed, "I didn't want anybody knowing! This is a personal issue I'm having with him, and I don't want his friends to hold it against him,"
"We're your friends too," Devyn reminded, "Corey knows because Sam asked him about it, and Corey asked me if he could tell me something. And, yeah," She didn't know where she was going, so she ended with a half-shrug.
"So that means the whole entire Traphouse knows?" I asked, exasperated. I was met with their silence. "Colby doesn't know you know, right?"
"I don't know," Tara said with a sigh, "I may have threatened him off a couple days ago,"
"Tara!" Katrina scolded, "I told you that you couldn't tell him about it!"
Throughout all of this, I noticed Angelina had fallen quite silent. I turned my head to her, "What about you? Did you say anything too?"
"I-" She instantly started talking before shutting her mouth and shaking her head. I stared daggers into her soul for a couple seconds longer before she started talking, "Colby told me to meet up with him the other day so we could talk. He told me his side of the story," She stated briefly.
"He did the same thing to Sam," Katrina spoke up, "Sam was telling me about it last night,"
"Oh fuck," I honestly didn't know what else to say.
"Well, our anniversary is tomorrow and I'm not going to ruin it. I love him and I'm not going to break up with him until he stops being a pussy and tells me straight up he's cheating on me. Or if I die, whichever comes first," I added a laugh to my statement, as if to ease up the mood.
And it did, the conversation switched to something lighter and easier for us to talk about.
But none of us could ignore the awkward feeling that came between us.
I could practically see the storm brewing when I looked into Angelina's, or any of the girls' eyes one final time before I fell asleep on the couch.
And I didn't know how to stop, or prevent, whatever that could have meant.
But it probably isn't good.
