Colby's pov
Sam and I walked back into the room the five of us were sharing after filming a one-on-one bit for our Cerro Gordo series.
Jake and Corey were snacking on a variety of foods, while Taylor was laying down on the bed, laying on her stomach but facing away from the room.
"Hey guys," Jake said before taking a sip of his White Claw.
"Hey. What is this?" I asked, digging through the bags of food for something to eat.
"Poptart?" Corey offered, holding out the box to me, "They're cinnamon,"
I grabbed one out of the box, "Thanks brother. Did you get Sam his cinnamon buns that he wanted?"
I glanced over at Sam, who had his mouth full of food. Of course, it was one of the cinnamon buns that Jake got specifically for my best friend.
"Yeah, these are great," Sam said, rubbing his stomach before setting the box on the floor. Corey snapped it shut for him, and took a bite of his poptart.
"Is she out?" I asked, peeking back over to Taylor, who was laying on top of the blankets. She hasn't moved since we came in the room, so that's what I figured.
"Yeah, she said she was hungry. But she just," Jake paused, shrugging, "I don't know, she just started acting weird."
"She said that she was starving and two seconds later she said she wasn't hungry and went and laid down," Corey nervously laughed, like he thought her odd behavior was funny.
I nodded to the White Claws, "Did you give her one of those?" I asked. Taylor always had a weird thing about alcohol. The only time I saw her drink was when we met, but other than that she always turned it down with a funny look on her face.
"I asked. That's when she started acting funny," Jake shrugged, taking another bite of his food.
"Huh," I said, seeming as if I brushed it off. But it was actually bothering the fuck out of me.
Maybe I'd ask her later. Or not, depending on how things go.
I took another bite of my poptart, watching her for a second.
Beautiful. There was no other way to describe her, in my eyes. Physically beautiful, and even her personality was too.
The way she smiled, how her eyes lit up when she said something funny or how her lip stuck out when she wanted something. Or even the look on her face when she was pissed, that was still beautiful but in it's own way.
I never really thought about any other girl like that before. It was weird, but it almost felt normal. "Her ass is pretty fine, huh?" Corey asked, following my eyes.
"You aren't allowed to look at that," I said, popping the tab on a black cherry White Claw.
"But you are?" He raised his eyebrows, a smile playing across his face.
"It's different," I said, feeling my face sting and I knew I was blushing damnit.
"Sure buddy," He said, tipping his head back to take a sip of his White Claw.
Honestly though, it was different. I was the one who hung out with her, the one who held her hand and kissed her. I was the one that watched her fall asleep at night, wrapped in my arms. Corey didn't do any shit like that, and if he did then Taylor would have some explaining to do.
We were kind of in that stage where we weren't friends but we weren't technically dating. I wanted to change that, but what if she didn't?
We finished up our poptarts and beverages with little conversation taking place. I think it was because it was nearly two in the morning and Jake had already been ready to sleep nearly an hour ago.
