Taylor's pov
"It's our time to say goodbye now. We've been at Cerro Gordo for a few days now, and it's been awesome, super fun. Huge thank you for allowing us to stay here and stuff. And especially film it, it's something I'll never personally forget. I don't know about you guys, but," Colby said to Brent as we all stood on the porch of the bunkhouse. He looked at the four of us, expecting us to say something.
"Of course," Corey said, and I picked up after him, "I'm really happy that this was the place I went to with you guys for the first trip. I think it was a lot of fun, and I am forever grateful for this town and its history. And to you for keeping it on your own," I clasped my hands together, looking at Brent sincerely.
"It was some of the best times I've had at Cerro Gordo, actually," Brent admitted, leaning against the porch rail.
"Really?" The boys asked in disbelief, though they didn't seem upset by his statement.
I believe him. Being with these boys really is a lot of fun, and I really am happy I went to that party. I'm going to have to thank Alex sometime for introducing me to her friend's friends.
"We can't talk about last night, but it was crazy," Sam smiled, holding up a peace sign at the camera.
We really didn't do much, honestly though it was fun. The boys drank some White Claws, Brent included, and they couldn't stop laughing at the stupidest things. They even laughed when Jake fell asleep and he was snoring.
The boys filmed a tiktok about them finding out that the male G-spot was real, which I thought was funny since that's what they called everything now, basically.
"It was something I will never forget. I mean, we found some cool shit," Brent continued, his smile soft like his voice.
"Yeah. Speaking of which, we went back to the mines with just us five last night," Colby waved around to the trap boys and I before holding up the rock and lock, "And uh, could you tell me what this is?"
Brent took the rock from his hands, observing it closely, "Woah, yeah, that's some silver," He said after turning it in his hands.
"We thought so! But we didn't know for sure," Sam added, trying to sound more calm and mature than before, "Wait why?"
"If you look right there, see it's way heavier than a normal rock," Brent explained.
"So we actually did it? That was our goal," Colby smiled, looking around at all of us. As his eyes met mine, I felt my heart flutter ever so slightly. It was something about his eyes that made me feel naked, even though I probably was good as so. I was wearing a crop top that didn't quite cover anything at all, but I had an undershirt underneath. Along with a pair of matching red sweatpants.
"This is not five hundred million dollars, this is probably, what, like fifty cents?" Sam joked, pointing at the piece of silver.
"But hey we went out to find silver and that's all that matters," It hurt my heart that Colby's meaningful comment was drowned out by the other boy's excitedly talking about the silver.
I took the risk of reaching over and grabbing his hand. Over the course of the past couple of days, he didn't seem to be concerned with us being near each other on camera. But I would rather be safe than sorry, usually.
Colby smiled over at me, rubbing his thumb along my knuckles. Even though it was such simple skin contact, I felt like I was drowning in my intense feelings for him. I couldn't understand how I felt this way in such a short time, but I was glad I did.
He led me over to stand next to him to look at the silver with the others before dropping my hand.
Sam seemed to be wrapping up the conversation nicely, "Thank you for having us," He said as Brent gave him a quick hug, "We'll have to come back sometime,"
