Chapter 11

The game has officially started. In this game, it would matter who will go first and this will be handled by a simple game of rock paper, and scissors. "Rock paper scissors! Release!" The game master said and Jacob pulled out a rock with George being scissors.

Robert grinned when he saw that his teammate had won the simple gamble and first pulled our two cards not showing any of them to George. George only stared at his hands that were picking two cards calmly. When Jacob checked the two cards that he had pulled he grinned at George.

Since Jacob had finally pulled out four cards. The probability of George getting the cards he want has decreased since Jacob had already picked out a few cards. George picked out all his two cards at once and stared at them calmly not showing any impression.

The first card was an attack card.

The second was a safe card also.

George gazed up at Jacob while he held all his cards with one hand. He didn't have a time card and he would need to use all of these in the first round. His luck was indeed bad. However, he could still defend himself with the use of the safe card.

He stared up at Jacob who pulled out a card that he would use. George didn't know what card he chose. George pulled out a card and stared at Jacob intensely, "three, two one. Draw your cards!" The game master said and both drew their cards at the rectangles where the cards are supposed to be placed.

Jacob had drawn a time card while George had drawn an attack card. For now, he still couldn't use his safe card for two reasons. One, Jacob still couldn't attack at the first cards they would pick out since he would still need a time card at first to attack in the next.

Second, it was to give Jacob many theories. "Hm, since you drew an attack card that means you either have a safe card or an attack card. Since it would be stupid if you drew an attack first before your time card. It would be a waste" his words were so predictable for George. George glanced at the time card Jacob drew and saw a ten second attack.

He glanced at Kassie who nodded telling him she could handle the amount of time in case Jacob would pull an attack card next. However, they would still be safe since his next card was a safe card. "Next pull! Three two one, draw your cards!" The game master said and both George and Jacob had already placed their cards in the middle.

George had drawn his last card along with Jacob who had drawn another 5 second time card. It may seem good to other people's eyes but this wasn't good for George and Kassie. Even if they were safe this round. If Jacob will play attack next round they would get a fifteen second attack time towards Kassie.

"Ah! So we both got the same cards. Damn, we both have bad luck" he shrugged but George could hint a small tone of victory in his voice. This game was indeed based on pure luck! Kassie would have to endure the fifteen second attack if Jacob would pull one.

"Rock paper scissors! Release!" The game master announced and George had won this time by playing scissors again. George put his hands inside the box and slowly took out two cards. He looked at these cards and saw an attack card and a time card. But this wouldn't matter if they lose in the first pull.

Jacob looked devilish and the pride that he had was written all over his face. George stared at him calmly as he pulled out the fifteen second time card and waited for the game master. "Three two one, draw your cards!" he exclaimed and George placed the card on the rectangle elegantly while Jacob slammed it there.

Just like George expected, he pulled an attack card. Robert cracked the joints of his fingers and his neck as he stared at Kassie . "Listen, kid, I won't go easy on you just because you're a five year old," he said mockingly as Kassie rolled her eyes secretly.
