I'm awoken by the high pitched shrill of my alarm clock and before I can reach over to turn it off, someone else does.

I jolt awake in surprise only to be met with Rafe staring down at me, the black bags under his tired eyes making him look as though he hasn't slept in months.

"You two better get ready for school" He tells me simply before exiting my room.

Take a deep breath and hoping to slow my raging heart beating at one hundred miles per hour, I turn to see Wheezie drooling on my pillow.

"Seriously, Wheeze?" I groan out, picking up a decorative pillow and smacking her with it.

She gasps, jumping up in shock and I let out a laugh at the look on her face, along with the fact her hair is stuck to her drool covered cheek.

"Drool on another pillow and you're sleeping in your own room" I playfully glare at her.

"I can't help it, Sylvie" The girl whines flopping back onto the bed, covering her face with her arms.

"Get your ass up, sleepyhead. We've got school" I warn her, dragging myself out of bed as the younger girl groans loudly in annoyance and I chuckle, shaking my head as I head to the bathroom "I feel ya, sister!"

I take a quick shower and when I enter my room with a towel wrapped around me, I find the room empty which lets me know that Wheezie is getting ready in her own room.

After drying my hair and pulling my blonde waves into a messy bun atop my head, I begin to get changed into my school uniform. My uniform consists of a pleated tartan skirt, a white polo shirt, black knee high socks and a black crossover neck tie.

I hike the skirt up a little higher than allowed and swap the ugly black blazer for my denim jacket before slipping on my black Doc Martin boots and grabbing my red backpack, heading down the stairs.

"Toast!" Wheezie chirps, handing me a slice as I enter the dining room.

"Thank you" I hum, taking the toast and pecking her head.

"Where is your blazer?" Our father snaps at me as I sit at the table.

"In my room" I shrug, pouring myself a glass of orange juice.

"Can you go and put it on?" He asks me.

"No" I answer "I hate it"

"Sylvie, uniform is not optional. Wheezie is wearing hers" The man tells me firmly, gesturing to my little sister who is in full uniform.

"It's not a big deal" Rose quips in irritation without looking up from her magazine "Rafe never wore his"

My father bites his tongue with a sour expression and I bite back a smirk, eating my breakfast without another word.

Wheezie and I exit the house after breakfast to see that Rafe is sat in the driver seat of the car, looking down at his phone.
