It has now been 2 weeks since i came to the orphanage and I'm starting to get a bad feeling. I mean Skyler and Sydney are great friends to have, but what if they'll get adopted someday and I will remain to be here until I turn 18 years old. I have talked about this with the both of them before and they told me not to worry about it, but some people have ALREADY been intrested in to adopt one of the both, not both, ONE. Skyler doesn't really care much for Sydney but I don't think Sydney doesn't want to part ways. Alone hearing her argue with the adults who come here to adopt only Skyler from my room explains it all. I must say I find thier relationship rather strange, but when I think about it I wasn't really on good terms with my siblings in my past life either.

Since I'm not an option for the adults to adopt, I'm always getting sent to my room when an adult comes in looking for a child to adopt and I can carry on with whatever I was doing, once they leave. It's stupid in my opinion, but it's better then to be on the streets with nothing and no one! However I don't wan't to waste my next 7 years of my life in this god damn orphanage, but the only way out of here is to get adopted. I guess I'll never get out of here quicker than in 7 years..

Atleast that's what I thought, until 3 weeks later. She appeared.

I was sent into my room like the usual and started to read more about math and chemistry since we also have lessons here just like in school and it was the only thing that I liked. There was someone walking past my room and at the same time I had to sneeze really loudly. My face went red out of embarrassment because I was sure whoever walked past heard me from the other side. And holy shit they did. The person who heard me knocked on the door and asked if there was anyone there. It was a woman with a strong yet friendly voice that was very familiar.

I went completely silent out of fear, because I didn't want to get in trouble, but suddenly she came into the room.

"Oh! Hello young one! What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with the other kids?"

I recognized that woman instantly, it was Truelania herself, the number 1 strongest female hero in all of Truelanian history who we saw on TV. My mouth dropped.

"I see you know who I am! Ha ha! Of course you do who wouldn't after all!"

I quickly closed my mouth and put away my books to properly face her.

"I must be dreaming, you're Truelania the number 1 hero!" I pointed out.

"Oh but you're not! I am right here, ha ha!"

"What is someone like YOU doing HERE?" I asked very suprised.

"What do you think I'm doing here? I am looking for a child to adopt of course!" she aswered laughing.

"Ah- yes- of course, this is an orphanage, what a stupid question to ask. But you're not supposed to be here! You're not supposed to know of me!"

"Why am I not supposed to know of you?" she asked very confused.

"You see this may sound strange, but I'm not really an option for adoption.."

Truelania was silent for a second before she asked me why that is so. I explained to her the whole situation and what happend at the office on the first day and she was speechless.

"How on Legalola can they do such a thing to an innocent child like you?!" she asked furiously.

"Please don't be mad at them it's kinda my own fault for not-"

"No it's not your fault in any way! This is not okay at all!" she interrupted.

"Could you tell me your name young girl?" she asked very friendly.

"My name is Patricia" I answered nervously.

"Do you know something about singing, Patricia?"

"What kind of singing are you talking about?" I asked very confused.

"Truelanian singing! The singing with arrows as notes that go left, down, up and right!"

"Oh that kind of singing, yes I do, but I can only do the simple stuff."

"How about we sing a quick song together! I promise it will not even be 2 minutes long!"

She said that so excitedly that I couldn't say no to her. She was so happy that I agreed that she nearly jumped up into the air. Good god, what have I done, now I can only hope that we don't get caught.
