"Alright, everyone! Now that you're all here, let's begin with todays lesson." Miss Yami said, standing in front of a whiteboard with a marker in her hand as we stood on the opposite side.
"Let me ask the most important question. What is our goal?" She asked, writing 'our goal?' in the middle of the board and circling it.
Some of us raised our hands. She picked Laura first.
"To save Truelania." She answered.
"Do you mean the Empire or the person?" Miss Yami asked.
"Both, actually." She confirmed.
Ray put her hand down. Miss Yami wrote 'save the empire' and 'rescue Truelania' randomly on the board next to the bubble. She then picked me.
"Expose the traitors to the people." I said.
She wrote 'expose traitors' on the board and then picked Dave.
"Keep the crime rates low." He said and I raised my hand again.
She wrote 'low crime rates'. She picked me again.
"Uncover information about the Lightners." I said.
She just wrote 'Lightners' on the board. No one was raising their hands anymore.
"So, all the things you've said are very important. Without the heroes, the crime rates will go insanely high and we must do something about that. How do we stop it?"
"By becoming heroes?" Ray said.
"Exactly! We have to become a team that fights against crime. In other words, heroes. But how do we do that?" She asked again.
"By training our abilities and in general." I said.
"Correct. If we get stronger, we are able to fight bigger crime and maybe even resist some damage. Not only that, but we can overcome the dangers when we'll be trying to expose the traitors and find out more about the Lightners. The Lightners seem quite strong, after all."
"But that's not all. If we want to be a team, then we must get along with each other and support each other even in our darkest times. Only that way, we'll be able to even rescue Tricias mom and the entire Empire, but that shouldn't be a problem since you're all good friends anyway, so that's already done." She explained with great determination.
All of us were inspired and motivated by her speech.
"Now, does anyone have any experiences with fighting or something that could be useful." She asked.
We all raised our hand, so she said that we should answer one after the other.
"I'm experienced in sword fighting and martial arts." I said.
"I'm a dragon, but I'm not sure what I can do yet.." Ray said.
"I'm a ghost. I can disappear, possess others and make myself and other things float." Laura said.
"I'm quite experienced in hacking and machinery." Dave said.
"I can ride a motorcycle along with Dave and use a rifle." Jack said.
Miss Yami thought for a bit while nodding positively. Suddenly, Darkness dropped out of my hat and formed into his original form.
"I also would like to add something." He said as everyone stood in shock.
"My name is Darkness. I'm a deity who can do many things like, for example, predict the future. However, it has a limit." He said everyone was still shocked as me and Miss Yami smiled.
"Darkness, I haven't seen you in such a long time. How are you here?" She asked.
"Tricia summoned me and asked for my help." He answered.
"Now, show Yami the book I told you to bring." He said, looking at me.
I took the book out of my bag and handed it to her. A small note fell out of it as she took a look at it. She picked it up and gasped.
"These are the ancient artifacts that give you powers!" She said in shock.
"Ok, change of plans! Decide between each other which artifact you'll choose. We need to find them before anyone else! They'll be very useful in our plans." She stated.
We all nodded in agreement and I took the book back.
"For now, you are all dismissed. We shall meet here again right after school tomorrow!" Miss Yami said and we agreed.
We all went home and on the way, we chose what artifact we wanted to own.
