I looked again at the time.

09:30 AM

Most of the stores should be open at the mall. I could go shopping there. I probably should. I may be called in sick at school, but if a teacher sees me, it's gonna be awkward. I just gotta see where I should warp to.

I took a look at the map that I carry in my backpack.

Oh, look! There is a warp pad IN the mall near the bathrooms. That's real handy. I should go now and not later. Students from other schools like to go there on their longer breaks and then it's really full of people. I hate that. I hate standing in big crowds. Especially by myself. I just get overwhelmed and frustrated. That's also why I'm not a fan of theme parks.

I unpacked my bag from all the school supplies, so it's lighter. I had to put my money in my pocket because I don't have a wallet. I put on my shoes and jacket and went on my quest.

I arrived at the mall and my first destination was 'Ducky'. It's basically a dollar store. But it has everything from A to Z. Well, except for the basic things you can find at a grocery store.

It's on the first floor. I went to the nearest escalator and with a relaxed look, rode up. I know exactly where Ducky it is. Me and the girls are here all the time and sometimes just to hang out. As I walked over there, I glanced down at the lower floor.

There's the bookstore me and Sasha used to spend time together. We usually rented movies and watched them together in his living room when his mom wasn't there. They were usually either romantic comedies or animes. My favorite anime movie was 'Your Name' and Sasha bought it for me last Christmas. I don't have it anymore...

and neither do I have Sasha now...

...

A feeling of emptiness rushed into me. My face much more serious now. Something tells me I'm going to have more of such moments.

I shook my head and tried to brush it off. I continued to walk to Ducky. When I walked in, I grabbed a basket to put the stuff in. I grabbed the two different candle types with already 4 in each package and put them in the basket. Matchsticks are at the cash register and I'll go to a flower shop afterwards.

I went to the cash register and took a pack of matchsticks. I put the basket down and put my stuff on the till tape. I put the basket away and stood in line. It took less than 5 minutes till it was my turn. The cashier scanned everything, I paid and put them in my bag. I could luckily take my time with that because there was no one in line right now.

I left the shop and made my way to the flower shop, which was on the on the bottom floor. I went inside and took a look around. I took a left turn to the more expensive bouquets.

Wait, is that...

"Axel?" I called out.

He turned around in complete surprise as his hands flote around him.

"Huh?"

"Tricia! What a nice surprise!" He gasped.

He went up to me and gave me a friendly fistbump.

"Aren't you supposed to be in school?" He chuckled.

"Heh, I guess I didn't really feel my best." I scratched the back of my head.

"But, you don't seem sick. Did something happen?" He asked.

I nodded. He gave me a somewhat worried smile.

"Do you want to talk about it later in my office?" He asked after crouching down to my level.

"Maybe tomorrow? I'm meeting with my friends later." I answered and smiled.

"Of course! Know that I'm always there if you need me and that you can tell and ask me anything." He assured me.

We talked for a bit more and I completed my shopping list. We went our separate ways again when we exited the shop and I made my way back home.
