Laura and I went upstairs after a short moment to not be suspicious. Once we made it to the main room of the church, which is the nave, I was kindly greeted by her father without a word, who was wearing his typical full face makeup.

This metal inspired makeup is typical in churches like these. It represents the markings we demons have. He seems fond of mine and slightly smiles.

I slightly bowed at him with a small smile like I'm supposed to. He told me to give the flowers to his wife in his American-english accent. It's not like a Texan one it's just the typical English people speak in the United States. Laura escorted me to where her mom was supposed to be and her dad left to do his job.

When we came closer passing a few crowds, we noticed her brother standing with their mom. They're arguing in a corner. Probably not to embarrass themselves or something. Me and Laura stood right around the corner, hiding and listening.

It's about him not wearing his church uniform and doing his job. She's very upset.

"IN THE NAME OF THE GOD OF DARK TERRENCE, WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LISTEN TO YOUR PARENTS FOR ONCE INSTEAD OF CONSTANTLY DRINKING AND SMOKING?!" She yelled at him. But no one heard them fighting because of all the people here having a good time.

"OH, SHUT UP YOU OLD FUCKING HAG! THIS IS ALL SO STUPID AND LAME! I HATE THIS FUCKING CHURCH AND YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" He shouted back in the same accent as his father. I just realized that he's drunk. Or maybe even high.

"YOU DARE TO SPEAK SUCH DIRTY LANGUAGE IN THIS SACRED PLACE! I'M YOUR MOTHER WHO PUTS FOOD ON THE TABLE AND A ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD! I DON'T REMEMBER THAT I EVER RAISED YOU TO BE THIS WAY! YOU MAY BE 19 YEARS OLD YOUNG MAN BUT AS LONG AS YOU LIVE HERE YOU GO BY MY AND YOUR FATHERS RULES!" She yelled back at him with a dictating finger.

"You know she's right about that." Laura said to me.

"Are they always like this?" I asked her.

I can't believe that he'd disrespect his own mother who gave birth to him that way.

"Yes. It started when he turned 18 and was able to buy alcohol legally. Mom and Dad never did anything bad to him. They were always good parents." She said.

"I guess he just came out wrong." I said.

"Asozialer Bastard..." Laura growled.
(Sociopathic bastard...)

"FUCK YOU! I FUCKING HATE YOU AND YOUR SHITTY HUSBAND!" He yelled while showing her the middle finger aggressively.

She gave him the ultimate mother death stare that lets you know that you fucked up. She then grabbed him by his arm tightly and dragged him upstairs. He was squealing and kicking like a little kid during that the whole time.

"Fucking grown ass man." I said.

"I hate him.." She said in a serious tone.

"Give me the flowers. I know where they're supposed to go." She said and I did.

I followed her to one of the backrooms of the church. There's dark flower bouquets everywhere! She put my lilies in a vase and turned to me.

"Listen, there's something important that you need to do for me." She said, putting her hands together that disappeared behind her long sleeves.

"Of course, what's the matter?" I tilted my head and smiled.

"Stay away from my brother." She said in a serious tone.

"W-What?" I stuttered.

"He's a very, very dangerous person. You need to promise me. Do NOT come near him when no one is looking. I don't want you hurt." She glared.

"I-"

"Promise me, Trish!" She raised her voice. She sounds like on the verge of tears.

"Y-Yes, I promise. I won't go near him." Told her.

"..Thank you..." She said in relief and sighed.

"Cmon, let's go. The ceremony is about to begin." She said and started walking.

I followed her out of the room and everyone was taking a seat on the benches. I took a seat on a bench that was far in the back near the bathrooms and Laura joined her mom on the side near the front where her father will hold his speech as the priest.

Guess I'll just have to be extra sneaky..
