"SHE IS SOOO NICE!" Scarlet squealed.

"Huh?" A butler said.

"When I called her her Highness, she told me to call her by her first name!" Scarlet said.

"She did?" A maid asked rather shocked.

"Yes, she did!" Scarlet answered.

"And when I asked her if she was sure about this, she confirmed!" She also added.

"Could it be..?" A male maid started.

"NO, we can not be too sure about this just yet!" The leader of the Royal Guard exclaimed.

"We must take a closer look at her and till then do as she says. She is a member of the royal family, after all." He added.

"You're right.. It's best to stay vigilant." A gardener said.

And so they all agreed to test the new royal family member. It's been quite a tough time since Truelania had left her mother to live a normal civilian life. But, now she's gone and no one knows that she is still out there. Every TV news channel keeps repeating that she is dead. But Patricia knows the truth. She is still out there..

I've been organizing my room a little more to be ready for school tomorrow and to feel more at home. The conversation between me and the maid is still in my mind. And it won't stop bothering me.

Did I say something wrong? Can't be. I only told her to call me by my first name. I should keep and eye on this. Literally. I don't want to return to the miserable life I had in my first life.

Back on earth.. I remember how fascinated I was by this modern technology here in the Empire. Where I was from, those were completely different times. The internet was just becoming a thing! I literally was learning what the hell a laptop was. I felt like a cave man.

But now I'm a pro and I think technology is a fantastic thing. All the video games and social media.. And now I'm a Royal. This is all going so fast!

Then, someone knocked on the door. I got up and opened it. It's a butler. A fancy looking butler.

"Hello Patricia, lunch is being served and the Queen requires your presence in the dining room." He said.

He started to walk and I walked beside him to the dining room. He seemed rather calm but not completely. I sense some nervous in him.

"So.. since you already know my name, what's yours, sir?"

That is the only question that came to my mind to stop this awkward silence where only footsteps are heard.

"My name is Edmund, but I suppose you can call me Eddie if you like. I heard you teenagers prefer nicknames."
He responded and warmly smiled.

"Edmund, huh? I like that name. It suits you, Eddie." I said to him.

He was a little surprised but smiled. We arrived at the dinner table. It was sooooooooooooo long.

It's a dark wood table with a purple table cloth that has gold decorations on it that go perfectly with the golden candle holder on the table. There are 2, 4, 6... 22 chairs! Other than that, this room also has big potted plants, pictures on the walls of snowy landscapes and a golden chandelier with purple rhinestones.

My grandmother is already seated at the other side of the table. On the table, there are only two plates. Black plates with golden silverware and fancy wine glasses.

Eddie moved the chair for me to sit down. I thanked him and sat down next to my grandmother. She gave me an odd look but still smiled. Classical music filled the room.

"Now that we're all here, it is time to serve dinner." She said and clapped two times.

Workers walked in the room in line and put dinner on the table. "Bon Appétit" the cook said before leaving with the other kitchen workers.

It looked like a fancy Mac n Cheese, but I'm sure it has a fancier name than that. My grandmother looked with her eyes at Eddie, hinting at something.

"If there is anything you need, then just say the word. Your wish is my command." He said.

My grandma looked satisfied and turned back to me.

"I'm sure you must be rather excited about school tomorrow." She said and picked up her fork and knife and started to eat.

"Yeah, I guess I am." I picked up my silverware.

"What's the matter?" She asked.

"...It's nothing."
