"Yo good morning, guys!" Dave jumped at us.
"Where the hell are you getting this energy from?" I asked.
"He's just built different, Trish." Ray flicked her hand.
"Yeah, I'm no average white boy! Cheer up! Today is sure to be radical!" He charmed cockily.
"Yeah, yeah, android-man. We wanna make a birthday party for our sad ghost girl. Got any ideas where?" I leaned against him.
"Hm... Not right now. We can't rent anything, right?" He asked.
"I'm don't have any money.." Jack said.
"You never have any money! And you're working at your parents' library. Do you not get paid?!" Dave babbled.
"I do, but not much.. Motorcycle parts are expensive." Jack answered calmly.
Dave facepalmed.
"Don't worry, Jack. Dave just isn't used to seeing poor people." I said and smirked.
"What?! No-"
"Yeah, dude! He and his parents' big ass house just don't get it." Ray added mockingly.
Jack smiled lightly as Dave tried to hide his smile and tried not to laugh.
"God damn it, you guys..." He sighed.
"We love you too. But, seriously, her birthday is like next week. We should get planning." I said.
"You're right. Things would be easier if Jack's treehouse still existed. Maybe we could do it at my place!" Dave said.
"But yer parents are so annoyin'! They keep comin' into your room because of us bein' there like every half an hour!" Ray complained.
"I was gonna say that a little more nicely, but she's right." I added.
"Look, I tried to tell them to stop, but they keep throwing dumb arguments at me that make no sense at all and then ground me!" Dave explained.
"Nothing against you, Dave, but your parents are odd." Jack said.
Dave crossed his arms and grumbled.
"Maybe we could do it in my basement?" Ray offered.
"No, Ray, no way! I know it's spooky season, but not THAT SPOOKY!" Dave squealed as I shivered slightly in fear as Jack nodded lightly.
"I would offer my place, but my parents won't allow that.." Jack said.
"But they're never home?" I said.
"They'll know, guys..." He sighed.
We continued to discuss as long as the teacher was late. I wanted to offer my place, but before I even mentioned it, they had already crossed that idea because it's the royal castle. I'm kind of upset about that. And you know what?
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! I'll find a place in the castle to celebrate Laura's birthday! Just because I'm a secret royal doesn't mean that I can't share my blessing! They'll see! I just have to find a way to sneak them in and out.. a-and where to do the party..
I-I totally got this.
We were let into the classroom by another teacher. Apparently, our teacher will come soon. We took our seats along with the others where we would usually sit and continued talking.
"Let's maybe think of what to do for her birthday first and then decide a location." Dave offered.
"Good idea! We're totally goin' trick or treatin'!" Ray charmed.
"Oh, absolutely. No exceptions." I crossed my legs.
"I can also bake a small cake." I added.
"Awesome! I guess me and Jack can come up with a gift." Dave suggested.
"But, didn't Jack say-?"
"Ray, someone responsible needs to pack the gift. Dave can't even cut paper in a straight line." I interrupted her.
Ray laughed and Jack smiled.
We continued to throw ideas at each other until the teacher actually managed to show up. Still can't believe that us students get in trouble for being late and teachers expect us to greet them with the most motivated smile after coming late like over 20 minutes.
After a boring English lesson that sucked the life and will to live out of me that I didn't even know I had left after not being able to sleep last night, we marched to our next lesson. Jack decided that he'll make a birthday/get well soon card for Laura. I think that's a great idea. Although he doesn't really know what her situation is right now and neither does Dave. They think that she's sick. I hope Laura will be back by her birthday and that we'll be able to go trick or treating. Laura loves doing that.
Speaking of trick or treating, I gotta think of a costume! Can't celebrate the second day of Halloween without a costume! I think I have a good idea already... but I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it. It's worth a try, though!
Suddenly, my phone buzzed in my pocket.
