On the next day, we were all talking about the different artifacts. Laura took a book, Ray two daggers, Jack a gun and I chose the wand. Dave didn't choose anything. He said that he wanted to do computer work if possible. Each of us wrote down the coordinates to their artifact and will get them themselves someday soon.
There's still nothing new with Sasha. He still looks miserable. Although he keeps pulling his sleeves down as far as he can from time to time. That's very strange, but it's none of our business, really. I plan on going to get the wand right after the arena meeting. I told Scarlet to tell my grandmother that I'll be home late. I once again couldn't find my grandmother anywhere. That's day 3 now, but oh well.
Finally the meeting happened. Today, we were focusing on strategy. Everyone does something else. Ray and I do melee attacks that can probably be combined, Laura and Jack do ranged attacks and Dave is a supporter. It was a short meeting, so that's even better for me. I returned back to the warp pad and took out my map to see if I was able to warp close to where the wand is supposed to be. However, it was still a long walk over there, but I'll manage.
As soon as I warped there, I started walking. Halfway through the 2 kilometer walk through a dark forest, there was this nagging feeling as if I was being watched, but no one was in sight. Instead, I carried on. Suddenly, it started to get warmer. And warmer. And warmer. Then, after a series of bushes, there was a blue light. I kept going towards it and there it was in all its glory.
It's stuck in the ground awkwardly and started shaking when I came closer to the point it tipped over. I reach to grab it and it feels hot already from far away. I hesitated but grabbed it. Nothing happened at first as I admired it, but then it started to heat up and it hurt. I screamed as I felt the heat spread through my entire body. I fell over.
I then woke up in the hospital again. I looked around the room tiredly and saw a nurse who looked more than shocked. She looks mortified and calls for a doctor. I was so confused as I didn't quite remember what happened. I felt warm, though, despite the window being open. I could feel the wind hit against my skin, but I didn't feel any colder.
What the hell happened?!
Suddenly, Axel rushed in, basically kicking the door open.
"You're awake!" He said with a shocked expression on his face.
He came closer and sat down next to me.
"I don't know how you're awake, but you are! I'm so glad!" He said.
"God, what the hell happened?" I asked.
"I'm not sur, but you have a wicked high fever!" He put his hand on my forehead.
"Yep, still the same. You have a temperature of 43 degrees Celsius." He said, taking his and back.
"I do? I don't feel any different." I stated.
"You don't?!" He said, absolutely shocked.
"Yeah, I feel totally fine!" I said a bit panicked.
"Do you really not know what happened?! I mean, with that temperature, many creatures would possibly die!" He asked.
"Wait, wait, wait, lemme think..." I said.
