When we arrived just in time for the first lesson, I was eyed by everyone in th room.

From every angle I was stared at. I sat down where I would usually sit. Still next to Sasha, who stopped staring at me the second I sat down next to him. The lesson started and it was difficult to hold my pen in my hand. My hands are twitching and shaking. How fucking annoying.Sasha slid a small note to my side of the table with two fingers.
Where were you? He wrote on it.
I dunno, why does it matter? I wrote back, annoyed.
He said "sorry" very quietly and scrunched up the note. He then put it in his pencil case. He didn't say anything else for the whole lesson.
'Tricia is back already? Wasn't she supposed to come back in a few weeks? She looks very off..' I thought to myself while sitting at the front desk.
'Something isn't right... She doesn't seem the same.. She's sweating and her hands are also shaking like crazy.' I thought.
I got up and went up to her desk and kneeled in front of it. As her teacher, I should be concerned about her strange behavior.
"Hey, I'm glad you're back. How are you?" I said to her in a calm and quiet voice.
"I'm ok.." She mumbled while trying to get at least something on her paper.
"Listen, you wouldn't mind staying here a little longer after the lesson, right? I want to catch up with you and what you missed." I asked her.
A small smile appeared on her face as she looked at me with round eyes and nodded slightly. It doesn't feel right, though..
After the bell rang, she packed her things and waited patiently at my desk. When everyone left, I sat down and told her to take a seat as well. I took a deep breath.
"What happened? Seriously, what is happening in your home? The only thing I was told by your grandma after a week was that you won't be coming for a few weeks." I asked. I'm really concerned for her.
"I'm not really sure.. but I had a conversation with her about my mom and then she got angry." Tricia answered.
"What exactly did you two talk about?" I asked her.
"Well, she asked me if I believed that mom was still alive and I told her that I do. She says that it's a conspiracy." She innocently smiled while her crossed out eyes wandered around the room.
"The next morning, I was tackled by some armed men and then I woke up in a white room." She added.
"...what did the room look like?" I slowly asked.
"Bathroom tiles on the floor and pading on the walls." She plainly said.
"Like in a psychiatry!?" I asked her.
"Yeah! Something like that!" She happily charmed.
"B-but I was told that you were supposed to come back in a few weeks! What- no, how?!"
"Well, I realized after some time, I think 2 weeks later that the building wasn't fireproof and burned it down to escape!" She said positively with a craze in her eyes.
I don't know where the hell she was or what happened there, but she's definitely changed. Not only her eyes, but also herself!
"Are you really fine after that?" I asked.
"Of course, why wouldn't I be? I'm smiling for some reason after all.." Her voice trailed down into an unsure tone.
"Trish, that's not how it works! You could be smiling for whatever reason, but that doesn't mean that you're ok. Especially after whatever you went through these past 2 weeks!" I explained.
Her smile faded. I felt bad for the poor girl. She's already been through so much. I got up and gave her a hug. She hugged me back and let go after a moment.
"Listen, do you still go to your therapist?" I asked.
"What thera- Oh, Axel! Yeah, that reminds me I should probably make an appointment..." She ribbed the back of her head, embarrassed.
"Good, you should definitely tell him about this. How about you go home and make an appointment right away and get some rest. You look exhausted." I told her.
She nodded happily but still looked a little crazed. We said our goodbyes and she left. I hope it's nothing serious...
