The Crimson Demon Village

A week has passed since Kazuma and the others arrived in the Crimson Demon Village to train in preparation for saving Y/n from the Devils Kings daughter, Zenia.

Kazuma: Ughhhhhh, isn't there an easier way to bolster my mana? There's no point in learning these spells if I can only use them once or twice.

Bukkoroli: You could get a class change.

Kazuma: But I don't wanna.

Bukkoroli: Then suck it up and deal with it. Not everything is easy ya know?

Kazuma: This is coming from the Crimson Demon that's literally made for magic.

Bukkoroli: A-Anyway, are you sure these lower tier spells will be helpful for you?

Kazuma: Yea, for sure. I should be able to dish out some interesting combos if I get the timing right.

Bukkoroli: Interesting, you mind showing me a few?

Kazuma: Sure thing. Now, sit back and watch the master work!

Kazuma then proceeded to show Bukkoroli his new arsenal of spells while explaining the situations they'd be beneficial in.

The capital

Darkness: Hah...hah...hah...again...

Claire: Hah...hah...hah...are you...hah...serious? Woooo, I feel like I'm the one being worn down here.

Darkness was currently sparring against Claire.

Darkness: It's not enough, I can feel it. There's something I'm missing, but can't put my finger on it.

Claire: Well, for starters, let's hold off on the sparring for awhile. Honestly, your defense is truly remarkable. As expected of the shield of Belzerg, but surely some offense skills would come in handy, no?

Rain: I'm with Claire on this one. Even if you're dead set on defense only, you're one person. There's no way you'll be able to defend everyone at the same time. You'll have to make a choice one day.

Darkness: I know. I'm very much aware that a situation may arise and yet...

Darkness looked up into the sky and smiled to herself.

Claire: Is something the matter?

Darkness: No, it's nothing. I guess love can make you say some pretty confident things huh?

Claire&Rain: Eh?!?!

Claire: L-L-L-Love?! You?! With who?! No, don't tell me it's Satou?!

Rain: I-I mean he's...nice, to a degree but...

Darkness: Calm down, I was referring to Y/n.

Claire: Oh? Isn't he already with Megumin though?

Darkness: That's exactly what I mean. Without hesitation, he declared that if push came to shove and he had to make a choice, Megumin would be his top priority.

Rain: I see. You envy that, don't you?

Darkness: Of course. We've all been through a lot together, so to doubt his words or even hate him for it just seems wrong. No one had any complaints either. He did say, he'll still try to save everyone after he makes sure Megumin is safe. But he's the strongest in our party.
