Prologue

Y/n: Hey, that's just some cheap ring, alright? When we get to the capital, I'll get you a better one, alright?

Iris: It's fine! I don't want any other ring, I'm fine with this one!

Megumin: Geez, you've kept this attitude for a while now. What's it supposed to mean? Are you trying to show off to me? If you want it taken away so badly, how about I rob it from you?!

Iris: W-What do you want?! Are you looking for a fight?!

Megumin tried to take the ring from Iris.

Y/n: Don't be so angry Megumin. Didn't I get you an Elroad rice cracker? It was more expensive than that ring you know?

Megumin: It isn't a problem of price! That was tasty and all, but I can't help but feel that I've lost in some way!

Iris moved to the other side of the carriage to hide the ring.

Iris: Its because I'm Onii-samas little sister. Little sisters are special, unlike plain friends!

Megumin: W-What do you mean?! Why have I been downgraded to Y/n's friend?! I am Y/n's close companion, girlfriend, and future wife! We're beyond friends, we're basically family! We've already come close to cros-

Y/n: OKAY!!! Let's calm down now.

Iris: Then as his sister, we are family! That means that I am an existence that is beyond Megumin right?!

Megumin: Alright, since you've been asking for a fight this entire time, why don't I take you on?!

Y/n: *sigh* Can't you guys get along?

Iris: I won't lose to someone like you!!

Kazuma: I want to go catch a wild dullahan.

Y/n: Is there even a wild dullahan? You make it sound like it's Pokémon.

Kazuma: Hmmm, that would make things much easier if that was the case. Maybe I should've just asked for a master ball as my cheat weapon and capture the Devil King.

Y/n: That's stupid OP. But would that even work?

Kazuma: Has the master ball ever failed?

Y/n: Good point.

Megumin: What are you guys talking about?

Aqua: Have you two finally opened your eyes to the Axis Cult, and now you wanna go hunt undead? I'm really happy about that, but there's no way you're gonna find a wild dullahan. Just get by with ghosts and skeletons for now.

Y/n: I am never joining the Axis Cult, and I've had my fair share of skeletons already.

Kazuma: Yea, let's not go through that again. The reason I want to look for a wild dullahan is to learn the premonition of death skill. In order to succeed with a certain plan of mine, that skill is absolutely necessary. Do you think there are any places where I could find one?

Aqua: Hah?! Isn't drain touch good enough?! Give me your adventurers cards! I'll make you learn all the party tricks skills!

Kazuma: Stop it, you idiot! Don't decide things on your own! More importantly, hurry up and hand over your healing magic!

Aqua jumped on Kazuma.

Darkness: Why exactly do you want to learn such a dangerous skill? Also, in terms of rank, dullahans are only behind vampires and liches you know? As if you could meet something like that out in the open.
