Part 18: Hawkites, Zombies, Axis Cultists (All enemies by the way)

Kazuma: Chicken Race. A game of speed in which competitors charge at an obstacle at full speed, dodging only at the last second, to demonstrate courage. And right now, she has been chosen as the obstacle in this dangerous game.

Y/n: Who the hell are you talking to?

Kazuma: Don't mind me.

Darkenss: Oh boy! Here they come, here they come! K-Kazuma this time...this time I'm surely done for! Oh, they're going to ram me!

The hawkites did somersaults, flips, splits, while jumping right over Darkness.

Darkness: Is this a new type of teasing?! The sensation of almost being struck is quite something! Amazing! Males in heat are leaping over me, one after another!

Kazuma: Stop it! Do you hear yourself right now?!?!

Y/n: My ears have been violated.

Kazuma: Its looks like we don't have to worry about Darkness anymore.

Aqua: Ahem.

Kazuma: Yea, yea we can switch seats the rest of the trip.

Adventurer 29: Lightning!

Adventurer 57: Fire Ball!

Adventurer 68: Blade of wind!

Y/n: The AOE from my balas should take out more than a few.

Y/n began letting balas loose, decimating half of the running hawkites.

Y/n: Maybe that was a little too much. Well! Sorry guys I'm out of mana!

Kazuma: Wow seriously?

Y/n: Yup, guess I'll just go take a nap.

Megumin then grabbed Y/ns arm.

Megumin: If you take care of the hawkites now, we can probably-

Y/n: Your gonna have to try harder a lot than that if you want me to keep fighting.

Kazuma: Now that's a challenge.

Megumin: Hmmmm. I'll do any one request you have.

Y/n: Huh? Any...thing.

Kazuma: Talk about easy.

Y/n: Sh-shut up!

Megumin: Sooooo, is that a yes?

Y/n: Tch. Looks like my manas restored.

Megumin: Too easy.

Y/n being slightly annoyed about being called easy wiped out the rest of the hawkites with a single cero.

Random Guy: To think your party had someone so powerful! To take out the entire flock with one attack, simply amazing. Please have this as a token of appreciation.

Kazuma: Thank you, but we don't really need it.

Kazuma said with a forced smile.

Random Guy: But I insist, after all that boy went through the trouble of protecting the carriages and wasn't even a paid guard.

Kazuma: No really, I mean it! As adventurers, it's only normal to participate in a fight! We really can't accept this reward! Tell him Y/n!

Y/n: Sorry old man, we really can't accept the reward. It wouldn't feel right taking the reward from others when they initially signed up for the job.
