Part 4: A Challenge to this Lich

It's been raining since morning.

Despite this, Aqua has been out in the yard, paying no heed to the weather as she happily worked on the plot. Megumin was also out there with an umbrella giving her instructions.

Darkness: Say, Kazuma, can't you say something to them? Farm work isn't easy. Every year, some Matsutake and Bamboo farmers always end up going missing.

Darkness said that with a troubled face as she looked at them through the window.

Kazuma: I know farmers have it tough. There are typhoons in my country, and every year, a few farmers end up going missing during typhoon season. But they won't listen to anything I say, so what can I do? And even if they do go missing, we'll just have Y/n track them down.

Darkness: *sigh* He's not a dog. Speaking of, where is Y/n?

Kazuma: Pretty sure he's still asleep. Said something like the rain puts him in a super relaxed mood where he doesn't wanna do anything.

Darkness: Huh, you learn something new everyday. I just hope those two are alright.

Kazuma: Which two?

Darkness: Aqua and Megumin. Vegetables do get agitated during typhoon season.

Kazuma: I see, we're not on the same page.

There was suddenly a crash in the kitchen.

Kazuma: The hell?!

Darkness: A ghost?

Kazuma and Darkness went to investigate and found Y/n and the entirety of his bed in the kitchen.

Kazuma: What are you doing?!

Y/n: Wow, good morning to you too. I just woke up chill. I'm just getting something to drink.

Y/n opened the fridge from his bed and grabbed a bottle of wine.

Kazuma: Weren't you preaching about drinking in the morning?

Y/n: Don't caaaaaare. It's a lazy day.

Y/n then opened up a garganta underneath himself and fell through with his bed. A few seconds later, there was a crash upstairs.

Darkness: Uhhhh...

Kazuma: I've never seen laziness on such a level before. Like I'm amazed at what I just saw.

Aqua: Kazuma, come take a look! They've started sprouting already!

Aqua excitedly shouted.

Megumin: The eyes of the mackerel are also showing. They are a little grotesque to look at, but you should still take a look.

Kazuma: Say, Darkness, don't you think it's odd to catch watermelons in the sea and harvest mackerel in the fields?

Darkness: Why would it be odd? You say some really strange things sometimes.

Kazuma: I say strange things...okay...

Right as Kazuma opened the door, he was greeted by a familiar looking penguin.

Kazuma: Oh, Ze-

Aqua: Ah!

Zereschrute: Pik!

The penguin let out a bird like cry in response to Aqua's shout.

Aqua: I'm sure I told you that I'll purify you if I see you outside. You sure have some guts coming here. Very well, that strange devil isn't here to interfere, so I'll send you to heaven right now.
