Part 8: Mansion, Ghosts, Feelings

Y/n nearly slept an entire week while his mana recovered and regain the blood he had lost. Little did he know that Megumin managed to get his room key and care for him while he slept.

Y/n: Hmmmmmm. Ugh. What the hell? Where am I?

Y/n sat up still drowsy as he tried to recall the events that occured.

Y/n: That's right, I was killed by the winter shogun. Then Megumin helped me back to my room yesterday.

At that moment the arch-wizard in question entered the room.

Megumin: Y/N!! YOUR AWAKE!!

Megumin ran over and tackled Y/n into a tight hug.

Y/n: Geez Megumin, calm down. Of course I'm awake I'm not that lazy. Oh thanks for helping me back last night too.

Megumin: Umm. Y/n, I helped you get back here last week.

Y/n: LAST WEEK!?!?!!?

Megumin: Yea. You were asleep an entire week. Do you know how worried I was?!? When you never came out your room I thought you had died from the blood loss and had to get your room keys from the Inn keeper.

Y/n: Oh sorry about that. I didn't mean to worry yo- wait they gave you my room key? Isn't that invasion of privacy.

Megumin: Y/n, I thought you were dying so of course I did everything I could to check on you.

Y/n: G-geez thats a bit excessive, don't you think?

Megumin: Not at all.

Y/n: This girl...W-well anyways what have the others been up to?

Megumin: Hmmmm. Kazuma said he was gonna visit Wizs shop today. If we go to the guild now I'm sure we can catch them.

Y/n: Who's Wiz?

Megumin: Ah. Shes a shop keeper in town that we met while you were asleep.

Y/n: I see. Well then let's head to the guild.

On the way to the guild

Y/n: Hey, Megumin? Don't you think your walking a bit too close to me?

Megumin: Not at all. Why does it bother you?

Y/n: Well um...you know what nevermind.

Megumin: Seeing him so flustered is so funny. Its like he's a completely different person.

Y/n: Megumin, were you the one taking care of me while I was asleep?

Megumin: Mhmm.

Y/n: Why not get Aqua to do it? I mean she probably could've healed me quicker.

Megumin: I wanted to though.

Y/n: But why?

Megumin put on a playful smirk

Megumin: Surely you would prefer being cared for by me than Aqua.

Y/n: Where's all this confidence coming from? And what makes you think that?

Megumins smirk turned into a smug grin

Megumin: I think you know the answer to that question.

Y/n: Ah! Look at that the guild! Better hurry uo and meet up with Kazuma.

Megumin: Such an open book.
