Megumin: EXPLOSION!!

Out in the plains just outside of Axel a new crator was born. Megumin turned to Y/n after collapsing and asked:

Megumin: How many points was that?

Y/n: Hmm, based on destructiveness alone, I'd give it 90 points. But something felt different about the heat wave this time. It wasn't as intense as before, we're you accommodating for the summer heat?

Hearing Y/ns question, Megumin had a bright smile on her face.

Megumin: Exactly. I wondered if only focusing on raw destructive power was enough. So for today's explosion,  I'd go for a cool breeze. What'd you think of the wind that blew away all that hot and stuffy air? I think it'll be a good addition to Axels natural scenery.

Y/n: To think there's so much more to control in explosion magic. Well, for your consideration of the audience and for the beautiful roundness of that crator, I'll give you 97 points today!

Megumin: Thank you very much! I'll keep on doing my best!

Y/n picked up Megumin and started walking back home.

Megumin: Sorry for always bothering you like this.

Y/n: This doesn't bother me at all, so I don't know why your apologizing.

Megumin: Its just...I don't know any other spells...

Y/n: So what? What do you not want me to carry you anymore? If so, then I'll drop you off right here.

Megumin: No! That's not it. The occasional skinship between companions is necessary.

Y/n: Maybe, there's too much skinship...

Megumin: What did you say?

Y/n: Err, nothing.

Megumin: You know, the me from back when I lived in the Crimson Demon village probably would've never believed I'd end up cherishing my companions so much or finding the love of my life.

Y/n: Is that right? So what were you like back then? Were you still the same old crazy Megumin as today?

Megumin: How rude of you to call me crazy. As for what I was like, well...I used to never interact with anyone. Since I was a genius, I thought I'd be fine even if I was alone.

Y/n: Oh, so you were already chuuni back then? Wait, so you were crazy back then?

Megumin started putting some strength into her arms which were wrapped around Y/ns neck.

Y/n: Okay, okay, my bad! Let me try again! Basically, you were just unwanted-Ow, ow, ow! Hey, relax! I should've leveled like crazy how are you still so strong?!

Megumin sighed and loosened her grip.

Megumin: Well, it's your fault for saying something so uncalled for. Anyway, you wanted to hear the story of how I learned Explosion magic, right?

Y/n: Oh, I did ask that didn't I? You seemed pretty hesitant about it so I dropped it. But sure, I'm curious of what nutcase taught you that spell.

Megumin: Calling the benefactor I looked up to so much a nutcase is very rude. Ah, that's right...

A nostalgic expression appeared on Megumin's face as she thought of the past.

Megumin: I'll tell you after I show a certain person my Explosion magic.
