"And you're sure that your parents don't hate me?" Marinette asked as she was wiping down the counter. You had come to visit her during her work hours to tell her about what happened with your parents yesterday. Of course that wasn't the entire reason why you came. You also wanted to spend time with her.

"Don't worry about what they think." You followed her as she continued to work. "They don't care anymore."

"Why do I find that hard to believe?" She raised her brows at how you said that with her a smirk.

"In all seriousness, my parents can never hate you. It's impossible for them to hate any of my friends," You said after noticing the small pout on her lips. The moment her lips curled into a smile you felt your heart skip. She looks better with a smile. It makes you feel warm.

"So," You tapped your hands on the counter, "Is everything ready for tomorrow?"

Marinette perked up at the topic. "Totally! If you guys bring all of Cal's and Owen's equipment, we could start the filming earlier and then all hang out afterward."

"And it'll be a perfect chance to tell them about us." You reached over to grab her hand, gently rubbing over her knuckles with your thumb. Marinette felt her breath stop for a moment.

"Right." She took her hand back and continued working.

You have noticed that she was acting strange recently. She would pull away from any form of affection and would never initiate anything. You never thought much of it, figuring that it's because her mind is too preoccupied with work, school, the collab, and the contest. You know how much of a perfectionist she can be so it wouldn't surprise you if she's been trying to perfect her designs before she shows them to Adrien and Felix.

"I bet they're going to want to celebrate too. Maybe we should bring some snacks just in case." You suggested. Marinette remained silent but gave an encouraging nod and smile. You glanced over Marinette's shoulder to see if her parents were looking. Once you knew the coast was clear, you leaned over and placed a quick kiss on Marinette's cheek.

Marinette squeaked at the action, her cheeks flushing red. Her reaction made you laugh a bit. That's another reason why you didn't worry too much about her behavior. So long as she still gets flustered by your sweet actions, you knew that you were still in her heart.

"Shoot." You noticed the time on the clock. "I have to get going. I promised Grace and Ruben I'd meet up with them before dance class today."

You gave her another quick kiss, not checking to see if her parents were watching this time. You then ran out with a grin as Marinette shouted 'Good luck' to you. The young baker let out a sigh once she noticed your figure disappear.

Tomorrow is going to either be the worst or the best day in her life.

Adrien shook his head, his hair sticking to his skin with all the sweat he built during his fencing lesson. He brushed them out of his eyes while telling Felix what happened yesterday. His cousin looked shocked to hear about his conversation with his soulmate.

"So does this mean that you and Kagami aren't going to be a thing?" Adrien fought back the urge to roll his eyes.

"I just said that we decided to be better off as friends," Adrien leaned his head back against the wall. "Why do you care so much anyway?"

"Because I have seen the way she looked at you for years now." Felix shoved Adrien's shoulder. "And I noticed how you looked at her as well."

"How I - what now?"

"Oh c'mon," Felix rolled his eyes. "Don't tell me you had just considered dating her?"

Adrien remained silent. That only seemed to anger Felix.
